Well here's another pigeon. I googled sentinel spectrum where I clicked on a link to this guys website. Why was there no warning there about him. There should be warnings at every link connected to him. My story is the same as every body else. His site looks very professional, you just don't expect this. I also contacted the DFT they told me they would be in touch within 14 days, also contacted bank. Surely after all these months this character has been doing this the DFT would have done somthing about it. I'm thinking while I'm typing this probably, there will be more suckers. This guys business model is brilliant, take peoples money, don't sent the goods, then ignore the poor fool. I would love to meet this man face to face.

His business ethics are a disgrace but as far as we know you will eventually get the goods, it could be a month or more later than teh 3 days he has suggested though.

Good luck and please keep us posted

Hi there. I am another victim of Petfood247 and have been following this site for the past two weeks. I ordered $80 worth from them on 07/06/10 with no response to emails or phone calls. Always messages full. I have already contacted Dept of Fair Trading and my bank. I hope this will help. I can't believe this guy is still allowed to operate after reading how many people have placed complaints. Thought I must let you all know that there must be many people like me who are in the same boat and have not added their story to this site. Good luck to everyone who has been ripped off by this guy. Hopefully we will get our money back and he ceases to trade.

Hi Tracey, welcome to Scamwarners,

You could do what I do in bad situations, look for the positives, in this case you now know where to go if you ever suspect that you or somebody close to you is being scammed, plus you know now about the power of googling before you pay.

There's an old saying, check twice, buy once, well, it was something like that anyway :D

I hope you order arrives soon, going by past experience it should arrive next week maybe the week after :(

-sigh-

I think i'm only on page 6 of complaints, i'm almost too scared to read on.

On the 16.06.2010 I placed an order for around $400, this was a long thought out buy for my dogs on two items. Something that I knew my dogs would love, after doing searches on these two products i found petfood247 to be the best price.. and without another thought placed my order and paid.
I was excited to do this as, im sure some of you feel the same, my dogs give me so much and its nice when I can give something extra back.
i got my order conformation and the statement that it would be delivered in 3 days...

I have since written 2 complaint emails and called several times to the full mailbox.

I don't know what my next step should be, do I be more patient its been what 3 weeks now (just about) and the funny thing is, if I had been given a quick email to state there was a delay or what ever I would be more then happy.

I guess tomorrow I apply to the bank to file a dispute??

I'm pretty gobsmacked that this company is still trading, and I have to say that my attitude is to take on a company that has fouled me up with the ferocity of an ill tempered pit bull. My own personal current dispute has reached nuclear proportions and I feel that I have more an Aussie attitude than a British one, so I'm surprised you allow this company to get away with such a sloppy attitude and poor record.

It doesn't take many of you to file disputes, if you've used your credit card, to remove the capacity of this company to be able to take online orders. The benefit being that you not only get your money back, but you disable their ability to continue to go on trading like this.

As has been said, it's easy to be sympathetic and understanding if the company are honest with customers over delays and problems, but it's obvious that their customer service skills amount to dumb ignorance and contempt for anyone who falls into the trap of trading with them.

Just lodged my fair traiding complaint... doesn't seem very positive with this last line;

Your complaint has been directed to a Fair Trading Centre.

A Fair Trading Centre officer will contact you within null days.

If you have provided your e-mail address, your file number will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

Well guys here's another.. to make you gobsmacked...

I have been sent an email last week to say my goods have been dispatched...but guess what no goods...6 days later.

I am fed up with the all buisness, like what has been said, they should be taken off line..and not allowed to use peoples credit cards.

I am sending everthing I have gone through to a current affair if I don't receive my goods by Tuesday, I'm just over this....
And don't send an email to askus@petfood247 it is full..just like the phone message bank...

Best of luck Cargo

I had the same email almost 2 weeks ago and no delivery. I think this is just so they can claim they have fulfilled the order (probably to the credit card companies). They charged me for "courier delivery" so I don't know how they can claim they've dispatched it if they can't give delivery/courier details.

Someone really needs to close them down....

What about reporting this maggot to the tax office. He has been collecting GST on all these goods. Surely they may want to take a look at him. Also what about Net Registry, who'm he uses for his credit card transactions. The more people that are made aware of this guy, the better the chances of shutting him down. No store would get away with what he is up to, being an online business should make no difference. He believes his anomymity will protect him, the phone no. on his "order confirmation" is also false, that must surely be against the law.
by Ralph Sun Jul 04, 2010 10:06 pm
There is no evidence to suggest that he hasn't been paying the GST so the tax office would likely not take an interest either.

Contacting the department of fair trading and staing that his site is misleading and the delivery time frames are unacceptable would be the best way to report him, if possible, if you were all to get in touch with the same person it would most likely help although that has been done beforoe eand he is still at it.

I dont normally hold much hope for our government departments but surely with the amount of complaints they are receiving they will eventually do something.

I agree, we all should push for OFT to do something - its ridiculous. The person I spoke to at OFT tho could only be described as a moron. Perhaps anyone who has had some success with the OFT could give us a name and we could contact them? It appears anyone can start up a website and take people's money without any recourse.

I have complained to Dept of fair trading, lodged a complaint and today i lodged a credit card fraud action with my bank, my order was for $137.00 on the 01/06/2010 and i received an email on the 10/06/2010 to say my order had been dispatched. What a joke still no goods and i had to go and purchase another kennel from petbarn as we were going away and urgently needed one for our dog. I wonder if a current affair would be interested in this parasite.

Certainly in the UK, and I have no reason to believe it is any different in Australia, but you don't have to make a credit card claim on the basis of fraud. It is enough that the company has failed to honour their contractual commitments, so their offer to ship in 3 days makes everyone who ordered by credit card, perfectly entitled to make a successful payment reclaim. If you can evidence that you have attempted to reach a solution, so much the better, but it is now becoming a matter of public knowledge that the company is 'hiding' from customers.

It appears that your OFT is toothless, and my approach to problems is to go in feet and fists flying, so personally I'd be inclined to take on the OFT too. In the current economic circumstances if, a taxpayer funded institution is not performing satisfactorily, it's surplus to requirements, and I'd raise that as an issue in the media.

The one thing this company will take notice of, and will be forced to respond to, is a growing number of successful card reclaims. If their bank foresees a looming problem, they'll react ruthlessly. The company won't ignore their bank, or they'll do so at their own peril.

Hi Guys

Ordered goods 22.5.2010
Money taken out of bank 23.5.2010.
Confirmation of goods been delivered 28.6.2010
Goods actually delivered 5.7.2010

So all in all it took them nearly 6 weeks to deliver my goods...

Like everybody else dealt with bank--and fair trading...but what got a reaction was Currant Affair...which I said I would be contacting by Tuesday, and guess what.... the goods arrived 6.30am Tuesday morning.

If you have trouble phoning them send a tex...

Hope everything turns out for everybody.....he's just a low life
