I recieved my goods on Tuesday! There was something that was out of stock and he gave me a cheque for that.

Don't give up and make sure you contact Fair Trading as this business is real but really poor in service too!

Hello Everyone,

Petfood 24/7 has inspired me to sign up and too share my story.....you've heard it all before....ordered the goods over a month ago, ~$225 worth, thought I was getting a bargin, saved $20 over the nearest competitor (ebay) and well the rest is history. No goods, no return of attempted contact. Raised a dispute with my bank...took your advice and raised a dispute with the OFT. :=)

OFT rang the proprietor today, and suprise suprise, my goods have been dispatched. :oh-joy:

The :?: now is will they arrive....

So thankyou everyone who shared their story, and for those of you like me sitting out there waiting for your goods, raise a dispute with the OFT and spread the word.

Next time it's back to ebay for me.

Thanks for posting about your experience, unfortunately it was not a good one.

You will eventually receive your goods however I dont believe they have been dispatched yet, another week or so I would suggest

Hello, everyone! Fair Trading of QLD transfered my case to NSW. I did contakt my bank as well. They say it will take a few weeks to solve the problem. Waiting... :?

Hi to all you petfood 247 people who have paid for goods that we probably will never receive. An update on my situation. Spent $137.00 on goods 1/6/10, received an email 10/6/10 to say that kennel had been dispatched HA HA still waiting, jokes on me. Well i received a phone call from DFT on Friday 9th july to say that Gary Rip Off McDuff and petfood rip off 247 will be returning the money to my Credit card and it should definately be in by Wed 14 july. Well GUESS WHAT no money, what a surprise, so now i have to get in touch with DFT again. I can not beleive that this company is still in business. I have also contacted my bank and they are launching credit card fraud action against him. DFT are a bunch of wussies and are not making any effort to shut this company down. ANGRY ANGRY DOH

Hi, my name is E McDuff I see that some of you have posted personal information of mine on here which has been reported and will be removed due to it being an invasion of MY PRIVACY!
There have been a few problems with petfood247 due to family issues such as both grandmothers falling ill with breast cancer 4 weeks difference between the both of them which we have been busy with trying to get them ready for surgery and radio therapy which is a 6 week treatment as well as post cancer appointments.

Petfood247 does apologize for the lateness of orders but we are back to trading 100% again.
Instead of posting such comments on a public forum and labelling this company in which my family and I work for and labelling it "scammers" please email Gary on the listed email address on his website or email me at [email protected]

I will not respond to rude or threatening emails this is a business that has gone through a hard time as do most businesses.

There is no need to shut this company down. As you must be aware it is end of financial year and stock is hard to get hold of. Please email me at [email protected] and I will pass your details on to Gary and I will return your email with an ETA on your parcel

Hi Lizmarie, welcome to Scamwarners.

Firstly, I do appreciate you posting with the intent of fixing the problem brought to the attention by all of these people here, it is certainly a step in the right direction.

A summary of events

There are many of your customers that are very disatisfied with the service provided by your company and their complaints go back for about 12 months.

People have tried unsuccessfully to contact Petfood 247 on the various contact numbers available on the website and they are being ignored.

Delivery times stated on your site suggest items will be delivered in 3 days yet many people who have posted have had to wait a month or more for their orders to arrive.

The phone number on your site does not work, there is a number missing

People have outlayed hundreds of dollars for goods from your store and not heard any response as to why they have not arrived nor when they may expect them

In many cases, people have needed these goods and ordered elsewhere not knowing when the goods they payed for will arrive, therefore those people are out of pocket, inconvenienced and understandably upset.

Where we are at now

Now, while I understand it is not nice for the person who is responsible for all of this to be called names such as "Maggot" you have to understand why somebody who has been through this would be upset to the point where they may call the person responsible a name.

While I give my sympathies for the loss of your grandparents, that is not the fault of your customers, if orders could not be fulfilled, those people should have been notified or put a notice on your site that you will not be operating for a certain time due to unforseen circumstances, you should not ignore your customers.

You mention that the death of grandparents within a month or so has caused some concerns, while I can see why that would be the case, that does not explain the concerns your customers have expressed that go back for much more than just the couple of months you offer an excuse for.

You have requested that information be removed from this thread as you say that the information is your personal information. If you would like to provide exact links and descriptions of the information you would like removed I can look into it for you. I will suggest however that to my knowledge, there is no information posted here that is not freely available on the internet and therefor you have no grounds to expect us to remove such information from this site.

I would also ask that you do a blanket reply to all of your customers and not just the ones who have posted here and explain that you realise there is a problem and that you are taking steps to fix those problems, I am really not looking forward to seeing you post an individual reply to each and every person who has complained here, I would find that insulting if I was your customer if you were to do as you have started to do here, especially if i was waiting for my goods to arrive and seeing only those who have complained in this forum having their concerns dealt with.

For any customers of petfood247 who wish to ask any questions, please do so in a civil manner, rude posts of any kind directed to any member of this site will be removed.

lizmarie - I'm sorry to hear about your family health problems, but I have personal experience of kidney cancer. I had to give up work and didn't expect my employers to to support me for ever when I couldn't do the job I was paid to do, not that they would have done so.

No one would begrudge you having to suspend business and closing down your website if you could no longer cope.

The complaints and problems have been exascerbated by the company not responding to e-mails and phone calls, and there is no excuse for that. It isn't just poor business practice. It leaves you wide open to losing all your trade.

The simple issue is whether or not you are capable of providing the goods you offer for sale because the part of the company that has been working effectively is that part that collects customers' money. I'm not unsympathetic over your personal circumstances, but if that renders you incapable of providing the goods and services you advertise, then you have to face up to that fact. Nothing will close a business faster than facing a torrent of justified chargebacks, and if you ignore your customers it's not unexpected that they come to places like this to vent.

Ralph's suggestions and comments are very sensible and reasonable.

I am not sure what to make of the email sent by petfood247 re:Liz. :idea: bit late

I think there is no excuse for their costomer service..its appalling.
I also run a buisness,you can make any excuse you like...but the cosumer comes first..we also had death in the family three times in 6 months,but we never let our customers down...that is your name... and buisness..and you take that on board,and always do the best you can for your costumers.
If something should arise..let them know..people are very good..when you explain things.

I bought from pet247 and had to go to such extremes..for some recognition..not good enough petfood247

Lizmarie - You are "barking up the wrong tree". Communication, communication, communication. Not once did I receive a reply to any of the probably dozens of emails I sent. In fact today I received my goods - hooray. But how silly to ignore everyone. All that is required is an email letting each customer know when they can expect the goods. The lack of communication made a lot of us think it was a scam. It created a lot of worry and angst for me I can tell you - I cant afford to lose $200 odd - so I am very happy I have received my goods, but I'm afraid I will never use www.petfood247.com.au ever again and I dare say most people on this site may not either. My father just passed away a couple of weeks ago and having to worry about whether I'd been ripped off or not didnt help but you know what Lizmarie? - life goes on.

Ralph - You are to be commended for your posting - I couldnt have said it any better.
