This website is a scam. Im sorry but we spent 80 dollars on 4/6/10. no communication except our initial receipt to let us know they just got our money. then nothing, no item, not communication in reply to my emails or no answer on phone. why put a dodgy email and diodgy fone and dodgy pobox address. I GOT SCAMMED:(. why cant we close this site down?

We cant close the site down for one good reason, it is not illegal to have terrible customer service.

Hopefully Lizmarie will be able to offer a solution, she seemed to have lots of answers a couple of days ago :?

I read your messages with sympathy, I keep checking this thread hoping to see that things are turning around, however all I see is more of the same. :cry:

Kaveesha, you asked what to do now - I found that the OFT (Office of Fair Trading) in NSW were very helpful and turned my order around within a week. I too had been emailing, calling, messaging, all with no success. Going to your bank is another option, but lengthy, I'd try the OFT first - its very easy to raise a dispute.

Ralph, I don't want to seem too sceptical, but it seems that Lizmarie has quietened down since she succeeded in getting you to remove the business information? Hopefully that is not the case and she is working very hard to address everyone, not just users of this forum.

OFT contacted me again yesterday after I told them that Petfood247 had not refunded my money to my credit card as they said they would. They left a message saying a cheque would be in the post. A week ago Petfood247 emailed me to say my item had been despatched. What a load of lies. I have contacted the Office of Fair Trading three times now and Petfood247 tells them more lies each time. What is the point in have a Department of Fair Trading that does not act to stop this stealing of peoples money?

Hello to all you poor people that haven,t received your orders yet, as you might be aware by reading my posts that i finally got my money back from my Bank, it took six weeks to resolve my situation. Lizamarie is awfully quiet these days, she had lots to say a few weeks ago, try this email addy it is one that she posted on this website [email protected]
it was working a few days ago because i sent her an email to say that my bank helped me get a refund and that she was as dodgy as the company she owns or works for. She made big promises to sort out all the messy problems but in reality i think she was just scamming like the company she represents. Good luck all of you that are out of pocket, dont expect your orders ar a refund anytime soon.

So, after two weeks (i think..close anyway) of waiting for a refund (i thought i had been pretty patient and nice about it all) I still have nothing.

My Original order was placed on 16.06.2010, and money was taken the same day.

OFT were pleasent and helpful but as others seem to feel OFT seem to be being fed a bunch of lies to buy more time.
I have made another call to my case manager at OFT and she will be in contact with me tomorrow.

I had a small shread of hope when Liz was posting on the forum, and it seemed for a short time people were getting their orders.
However, nothing since.

Liz seem's upset about the name's that the company has been called, however we have been given nothing to prove otherwise.
Liz got what she wanted, and the freely available "personal" information removed from this forum.

I'll see what tomorrow brings with the OFT.

I apologize for not being in contact due to not being available the past fee days.
In regards to my email published on this site it has had to be shut down due to a virus being sent to me by a customer so this email will no longer be active. Please forward all emails to the email address on petfood247 website. All emails from the 21/7/10 have been forwarded to my boss. Please beware that the virus I have received can be forwarded to you due to the antivirus system shutting down. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Tell me why are you so quick to blame a customer on sending you a virus when you publicly posted your email address? Could have been anyone.

Sounds like just another excuse to add to the list...

Also, I am assuming the email address now to send emails to is the same email no one has ever received a non-automated response from to-date?

The email was listed as being "petfood 247 urgent"
this is no excuse considering my email address is one that I use for business and personal use. The email refered will respond with answers to your questions.

Latest update from DOFT;

"Several people have called me back and advised that Mr McDuff has not sent the cheques or items as promised. Unfortunately I cannot force him to conform to what we have requested. As there are several people in the same boat I suggest you lodge a claim with the consumer, trader and tennancy tribunal. This is similar to small claims and is normally held close to where you live. If many of you make a claim you have more of a chance in getting his business licence suspended. Unfortunately there may be costs involved. My other suggestion is if you are in the time frame, lodge a chargeback with your bank"

I took the liberty of looking up the website that was suggested by DOFT http://www.cttt.nsw.gov.au/ for those that are interested.

I received a letter from my bank informing me the money these " Fair Traders" took from me has been credited back to my acc. and to let them know if they try to take it back. After Mcduff lied to OFT about sending me a refund the OFT told me to get it back through my bank. Obviously they are incapable of doing anything to stop these people. I sent Lizmarie an email stating my intentions and to my amazement I received an email stating the goods were being sent. No goods arrived, which doesn't matter as I bought elsewhere. After all the time spent dealing with these people, emails, ph. calls etc. No apology, no nothing. The only way you will get your money back is to take it up with your bank. If Lizmarie was sincere everybody screwed by them should have been delt with and apologised to.

Working together as you are exerts much more pressure on the company and governing agencies than single complainants.

...Don't underestimate word of mouth....

I've shared my experience with work collegues and my dog club in an attempt to save others the same grief. I won't be a return shopper, no matter how good the price. I've learn't my lesson, ebay for me, and always check out the buyer reviews first.

Karma is a very powerful thing....I find it better to trust in this than worry about retribution... :wink:
