I am dumbfounded.. shocked... floored even.

A cheque arrived in the mail this afternoon, in an express post envelope. Dated the 09.07.2010, for a full refund of what I paid for goods.

Shall update you all if the cheque clears.

We haven't had any cases of refund cheques bouncing from them yet so we can only presume that the cheque will be good.

Interesting that the express post took 2 weeks to get to you, that coud only be an Australia post issue if that was the case.

While it is far from good news that you have been inconvenienced like this, finaly getting a refund is good news.

Thanks for the update

Hi there scamwarners and users (scamwarnersers?? :) ),

I'll keep the introduction short by saying we had the same problems as everyone else, i.e. no delivery, no contact, etc.

After reading through this scamwarners thread I tried the various emails posted (pre lizmarie posting) and, while I didn't get a response, we did get a package delivered following some... assertive tones in my email, let's say.

Strangely enough, the delivered package looked much closer in size/shape/weight to a shoe box, rather than the $100+, 18kg bag of dog food we had ordered. Petfood247 sent us two bottles of medicated pet shampoo. I mean, "dog food, bag - 18kg, 1 of" is terribly easy to mistake with "shampoo". You must be joking, petfood247.

We have since contacted our bank to return our money and have sent the package back. My reason for this is that there seem to be no long term repercussions for this trader by using OFT, whereas previous posts on this thread suggest that their corporate credit rating may suffer/be revoked/something appropriate if enough customers get their money back through the banking system.

While this is my first post, I have been reading this thread for some weeks and have found the info contained therein to be very useful.

Will continue to post with any developments.

Thankyou Scamwarners as I have received my order from Petfood 247, only after reading this thread. Without Scamwarners I would be still floundering around trying to contact Petfood 247. This is one company I'll never use again, but I will be using Scamwarners in the future. :oh-joy:

Don't be fooled this is not poor customer service. This is a sustained course of fraudulent conduct which has taken place over a number of years. Today I have demanded my money back. No return of calls or emails. ASIC and DFT are well aware of their activities. I encourage anyway who has not received their product or money back to go to the police. I intend to contact A Current Affair. This organisation is a disgrace and needs to be taken off the internet.

Just been browsing through this site and noticed 'Liz' recently offered the excuse that it is the end of the financial year so stock is hard to get hold of. Well when I recently sent an email asking if a product was in stock I received a prompt reply saying it was and the postage time would take about 2 - 3 days.

Well now you have my money, no product, no more replies to emails etc. If you are reading this Liz, I want my money back.

I am astounded at the amounts of money people on this forum have been scammed out of. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Imagine how many other victims there are who don't know about this site . A search warrant on Petfood247 bank account would reveal the true extent of their fraudulent activites.

Hi All, Thank you for all of your posts, I'm another rip-off-ee. Just want to let everyone know that the email on the petfood247 website has gotten me nothing but a whole lot of silence, so I think my best bet is to try to get my money back through my bank and complain where I can to get them shut down!

Thanks again everyone for your help in solving my mystery!

I have just received the product I ordered on 13th June.
They emailed me a couple of days ago after I called their number and left a terse message.

Prior to that we called our bank and asked them to retrieve the money we had paid, I don't know if this had something to do with their response but it may have helped.

Yet another person who has been ripped off by PetFood247.com.au.

I ordered a dog door that was showing in stock on the 26th July, and then sent emails and called to try and ascertain a delivery dates. When I had no response I googled it and found to my dismay that scamwarners was the first hit! Thanks to all the information and posters, I have made a complaint to the NSW Office of Fair Trading and commenced getting my bank to reclaim the funds.

Oh why didn't I google reviews before I ordered... Just found another number listed on a website for Petfood247 Ph: 02 9543 7818. Rang and spoke to a lady who said it was her husbands business and he'd be back home at 3.45pm. Will wait and see if I can speak to someone, what's the bet no one will answer the phone next time. Otherwise will try the credit card refund. Off to a petshop to spend more money now as I need the product today

I just want to say thanks to Morgsy1 (hopefully) I just called the number he gave and spoke to the owner who said it was posted through Australia post but didn't know where it could be. He said that I can get a refund as he didn't have any more in stock for another week or so.

I ordered the pet door on 2 July and after numerous messages (before it was full) and several emails I still hadn't heard anything. Then I found this website. Thank you all I wish I had found this before I ordered.

They told me I would get a cheque sent in the mail tomorrow so will post an update in a couple of days and let you know.

Spoke to the owner. Said he would post first thing tomorrow. We've given him to Thursday otherwise he will be hearing from us again for a refund on Friday. Wait and see. Hopefully they won't change their phone number now that we've found one!!!!
