After lodging the complaint with NSW Departmentof Fair Trading only yesterday, to my surprise I received an email from [email protected] last night stating that my order had been dispatched. :o As you may have guessed it did not have any delivery details. :?

Then today I had a call from Vivian at NSW Department of Fair Trading. She said that she had spoken to the owner of petfood247 yesterday (using a special number that she has been given, presumably because as she is such a regular caller). She said that he told her that someone from the company had spoken to me by phone yesterday afternoon (UNTRUE) :x to say that as their was no stock that he would refund the money.

I then told her about my "your order had been shipped" email, so she said she would call him back and find out what was happening. About an hour later Vivian called me back to say that he told her that he had just been to the post office and sent me a refund check. As I am in Melbourne I expect it tomorrow or Thursday. I will let you all know how it goes.

My advice to all those who are having issues is to immediately contact the NSW Department of Fair Trading and lodge a complaint as they appear to be in regular contact with him and have a contact number that he answers!

Have just rung this number given by Morgsy1 - THANKS - Petfood247 Ph: 02 9543 7818. Have been told that my order is being fast tracked in the post and I should receive it by tomorrow afternoon. I have also (like Dexter) had a call from Vivian at NSW Department of Fair Trading, but I was too late to return her call today, but I ensured that the person I spoke to at Petfood247 (phone number above) also knew I had contact with Vivian! I will be back tomorrow arvo to let you know what's happened ... let's hope this business honours all customers & gets shut down for good!

I would like to say a big thank you to scamwarners and the people who have posted regarding petfood247 I just wish I'd read what you had to say before I ordered. I rang the land line number that I got from your posts and spoke to the 'gentleman's' daughter who said that he would be returning at 3pm and she would pass on my message. I received my 'confirmation' and 'dispatched' emails at 3:01pm! My order was placed on the 22.07, it is now 4.8. Now it's just a matter of waiting to see if it arrives but from what others have had to say that is likely.

Thank you again, I didn't know what the next step was and I thought I could say goodbye to my money. Thanks.

Surprise!!! Just received my goods from PETSTORE247 ordered just 2 weeks ago, missing 1 item with cheque for difference. Will post ok notice for cheque clearing when it gets thru the system. I was not getting any joy from my emails/phone so looked for blogs & found this site,TOO LATE I CRIED ,MY MONEY IS GONE , as I read through misty eyes about all the troubles, so I hit all the email addresses etc in the warnings and still nothing. So it would seem the bloke, whoever, that is running the show needs a bloody good kick in the bum for his business practices and get back to people to re-assure them their money/goods are still on the way. I don`t think its a scam, just a very slow response.

I too am a victim. I placed an order on the 19th of July. Too late discovered this site with all the warnings. Thank you all for posting the details and your grievances. I phoned the company yesterday with the number Morgsy1 posted and at last got hold of the guy running the business. He said I should have already received the item I ordered already, HELLO, no shipping email notification, nothing. He then said he will trace it and give me back my money. He will send me a cheque to refund. Will let you know when I receive it, i plan to phone them again on Monday if I have not received anything by post yet. THANK YOU to all for the updates. It does help to feel you are not alone :-)

YAY! My order DID arrive today ... all of it ($166 worth)... sadly I had gone and bought another smaller bag of dog food a couple days ago, but I'm certainly not complaining! I would just love to see EVERYONE reporting satisfactory outcomes by receiving their goods or refunds!!

I would like to again post the Phone Number given by Morgsy1:Petfood247 Ph: 02 9543 7818 - where I did manage to speak to a man assuring next day delivery AND it did happen!THANKS Morgsy1.

Also, I spoke to Vivian at NSW Department of Fair Trading today, and she was confident delivery would occur and said to ring back if not received ... all is good for me BUT here is the phone number I was given for Vivian at NSW Dept of Fair Trading: 02 8778 4000. You may need to post a complaint first - this can be done online!

Good Luck to all ... I'll continue to watch everyone's posts as it will be very satisfying to see "happy" (LOL) customers! I'll certainly be very happy to see PetFoods247 out of business!!!!

A VERY BIG THANKS to SCAMWARNERS for running a fabulous website that has certainly assisted me in this issue. CHEERS  :=)

On the 12th of July...I ordered some flea and worm treatment for my dog. I live in NSW, so I would expect the goods to arrive within 5 or so days. Of course the money was taken from our account immediately!

I sent my first email on 27th July asking where my products were...NO reply of course! I sent another one on the 28th July making it a high priority email...NO reply. Then I got cranky and I sent an sms to the mobile number placed on the website. I stated I would contact The Department of Fair Trading if I did not hear from them. VOILA...the next morning an email arrived stating..."Your order has been shipped". I have been trying all morning to get into My Account on their website but with no luck...it is impossible to connect to their website!

I can feel myself getting more and more cranky now and I should have followed my gut instinct. I ordered from them on a previous occasion and also had to chase the order...although not for a month!

I've just spent ages reading through all these posts after googling PetFood247 ... what a pity I didn't do this before placing my order, my experience is like everyone elses. I placed my order 21/7/2010, $195 charged to credit card 23/7. Have received what appears to be an automated response that order has been dispatched (31/7/2010) with no freight tracking details or delivery date - order still has not arrived. Unable to leave message on mobile phone as mailbox full, no further replies to emails.

Even though I'm only at the 2 week mark I have today lodged complaint with OFT, advised them of your website & the number of complaints on it, & contacted my bank who advised me to keep track of all attempts to contact/resolve the matter & then contact them 30 days after the order was placed to lodge a complaint & get your money back. Also contacted Fastway Couriers (as previous posts have received goods through them) to see if they had any record of the company - not in their system under Petfood 24/7 - thought it was worth a try, since apparently my order has been dispatched.

it seems to me that patience isn't rewarded in this instance ... and I agree with other comments that by contacting your bank after the 30 days has elapsed & lodging a complaint to get your $ back may help make a point to Petfood 24/7 - the more people that do this, the more effect it will have.

meanwhile ... I'll wait 'patiently', keep my fingers crossed & maybe my order will turn up.

Just thought that I would give everyone an update. As I mentioned on Monday I called the number Morgsy1 gave and they said i would get a refund cheque in the mail. And it arrived yesterday.

So just want to thank the people on this website and especially Morgsy1 as without his posting of the contact number I still think i'd be waiting for the dog door.

Now I just have to hope the cheque clears...

Maybe it's like trying to turn an ocean tanker in mid-ocean, and will take a while, but at least things are going in the right direction, for a change.

The company should get to realise that they are in business to send out goods and not refund cheques, but if they don't do the former, then the latter action becomes inevitable.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

I know a lot of doggy people and they have all been warned NOT to use this company.

Will start dispute resolution as soon as 30 days is up!

I just can't believe how many of us there are and how people like this just get away with it??? Why can't they just put a statement on the website (saying they have really bad customer service :) ) or stop taking money out of our accounts until they have actually (not just say they have) dispatched the goods??? Does anyone know what are they supposed to do legally with regard to payment?

Like everyone else, I should have googled the company before handing over my credit card details and have now learnt the hard way. Have attempted numerous times to contact them via a number of different emails that people have posted as well as the number Morgsy1 has posted (I didn't even get an answer on that number....maybe they are starting to ignore the phone??). I did get one response via email, over a week ago, saying my goods have been dispatch..... needless to say I did not hold my breath!

I have also lodged a complaint with DOFT and notified my credit card company in and attempt to retreive my money.

Thanks for the very informative website.

Hi All...

I asked my dog club to publish an article with my experience, to spread the work and hopefully save someone else from the pain & stress. I'd guess my club has 100+ members.... :!: Something others could consider?

It would be nice to see this on a current affair show so that people who are out of pocket & awaiting goods know they have some recourse....there must be so many others who have given up on their purchase...20-30% of customers :?: I guess only Petfood 24/7 can answer that one.....

Regards,

Here's my experience so far, I am in Perth and realise it will take a few days to receive an order from Sydney.

Anyway

I ordered on Monday, got the confirmation email.

Today I emailed that email address and just 10 mins ago got a message back saying

"your order has been shipped".

So far so good, I ordered Frontline plus for large dogs for $60.25 all up.

So the email address works... I don't think this site is a scam, interesting though the money has come out of my bank account (paid for by mastercard) yet it hasn't shown up under "account activity" in my online banking. Does it always take 4 days for online purchases to clear ? The account balance and availabe funds part of my online banking have only today been identical, so I assume it takes a while for credit card online transactions to clear ?
