Hi, Just wanted to thank everyone for all their stories and information.

I bought stuff from petfood247 on 18/07/2010 ($250 worth)and tried numerous times thru emails and phone calls (mobile) to try and get some update on the purchase, but not one response. I eventually called the landline that Morgsy1 published and the guy said i would received my goods in 2 days, no apology, no remorse.

So when the goods didnt arrive, i sent SMS to the mobile published on the website explaining that he should expect contact from OFT and then lodged a complaint with http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au.
This was last Thursday and this morning (Monday) i got a knock on the door at 8.45am from FastWay with package.

Although i havent got any official response back from OFT as yet, it looks like petfood247 would prefer not to have to deal with the OFT.

UPDATE: Vivian from OFT just called me and she said she had spoken to the company last Friday and wanted to confirm that the goods had arrived. Thanks so much Vivian for all your help, from all of us. God knows where we would all be without your help

Update on my original post Thu 5 Aug - I have just received a phone call from Vivian (OFT NSW) re my complaint of 5 Aug. She advised she spoke to Petfood247 on Fri 6 Aug & they said they had not sent my order (although I'd received an email from them 31 Jul to say they had dispatched). Vivian said they had dispatched my order this morning via Fastways so I should receive it by Wed 11 Aug. I asked if she had a tracking # but one was not given to her - she said to phone her Wed if it hadn't arrived so she could get the tracking # & follow-up with Fastways.

Given that Vivian is following up complaints & making direct contact with Petfood247, filing an on-line complaint with OFT NSW http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au is definately an option worth persuing ... I don't think sitting quietly will result in your order being dealt with as Petfood247 are so busy 'fighting fires' and not functioning as an organised, under control business.

I will let you know when my order arrives...

3 Cheers to Scamwarners great website that I've now bookmarked so I can check before making any future purchases on-line! :=)

Update: Tue 10 Aug

Received part of my order today via Fastways, plus a cheque for an out of stock item. They didn't include a partial refund of freight as they should have but I won't be following up the freight difference. Will bank the cheque and hope it clears. I contacted Vivian to let her know & thanked her for her help.
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Update: Sat 14 Aug
The refund cheque has cleared :D
I have emailed the price comparison website 'Nextag.com' where Petfood247 was listed when I did a query for items I needed to purchase & advised them of my experience, along with a link to this forum. I asked them in my email "Please save any more people having to go through the drama of ordering goods from this company by removing http://www.petfood247 from your listing." Hopefully they will consider doing this.

Update:

I sent complaint to OFT on Friday 6/8/10 and I also sent an email to PETFOOD247 stating I had contacted OFT and I wanted my goods by Tuesday (tomorrow).

Lo and behold...my goods arrived today (they were ordered on 12/7/10 and I have sent 5 emails to the company with NO replys) and I got a call from Vivian from OFT just wanting to make sure I had received them. She had talked to PETFOOD247 on Friday and he had promised I would have my stuff by tomorrow.

It is obvious contacting OFT works....at least you get your stuff!

I mentioned my utter disgust that PETFOOD247 is still allowed to trade...she didn't seem interested! At least that company keeps her busy I guess

I...will...NEVER use that company again and all my doggy friends including on dog forums etc have been warned about this company's lack of customer service and a generally indifference when it comes to their customers.

I am hoping word spreads to a point where they simply do not have a company :bondage:

Hi everyone
I'm another victim of this scam artist! I ordered $100 worth of goods at the end of June and have received two dispatch notices, but no goods. I too have spoken with Vivien at Fair Trading, so she knows there are a few of us out there unhappy. She assured me the goods were on the way. That was 4 weeks ago, and I too live in NSW. I've sent emails and tried calling the listed mobile number - never answers and message bank is full. Thanks for the landline listed - just called, but spoke to a young girl. Will call again tomorrow to speak to Gary as I don't expect him to return call. I have also lodged a claim in the small claims court, but regardless of what happens there, actually getting anything out of this person seems to be the real issue. Why are they allowed to continue trading and taking our money!? I'd be happy to be part of any class action.

I have now logged a complaint with Fair Trade too. I spoke to Gary again on Monday regarding my refund and he just calmly says no problem will send another one. Meaning that he has no intention doing anything and keeping my money!!! I too think that they should not be allowed to trade anymore as this is ridiculous.

Hi All

An update to my post on 05-Aug-10.

I reported this issue to DOFT on 5-Aug-10 and the goods arrived yesterday 10-Aug-10 along with a returned call from DOFT checking to see that I had received the goods. So looks like they only get off their butts when the DOFT is on their case, so if you have ordered and not received, is worth reporting them.

Never again will I order from petfood247!

Good luck everyone!

Hello
Same experience here with this mob, except to say that after 2 months of being ignored, I lodged a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading (ph 02 85670013) I received my item within 24 hours, I kid you not. I think that they are well aware of this company's business practices and his prompt response after a complaint was lodged leads me to believe that this company may be relying on people giving up on their money, so my advice is don't give up and pursue it. P.S. Try this email address you might get better luck [email protected]

Yesterday I received a call from Vivien from the Fair Trade office. She spoke to Gary and he said to her he has posted a refund on Monday. Low and behold I check the mail box yesterday and there was a refund cheque in the mail. I will never ever order from them again. Don't give up people, keep going at them. The only issue is that you will have to log a complaint with Fair Trade to get your goods.

Our goods arrived. Though we gave him an extra few days. Had to ring again on Wednesday, no reply on mobile, but got him again on the landline number. Said oh they should have arrived. Threatened him this time with the Fair Trading etc, and goods arrived yesterday!! Sure know we won't be ordering through here again, just wish could post this on his website so others don't have to go through this hassle.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the info and especially the landline #! After calling the other night and sending an email, and calling the next day, I actually got the speak to Gary who said he had mailed a full "replacement" of my order whilst he investigates what happened to the first one! And it actually arrived! He gave himself away though, as he mailed it to the wrong address. He sent it to the address I listed on the Fair Trading complaint and not the one I use for parcel deliveries and registered with his shonky company. Wish there was more we could do to stop this goose. Wonder if one of the current affairs programs would be interested?

There's no harm in trying. They can only say "no".
It's nothing we have any experience of though. We deal with out and out scams, although as is the case here, we don't mind featuring genuine businesses that provide very poor service. Especially ones that seem to have no desire to improve.
If I had a business that got this amount of adverse coverage, I'd want to do something about it.

Oh how I wish I had googled a little harder before I bought something from these guys. It's only been 10 days since I placed my order and they took my money so maybe they'll come good..... ...hah!
I've emailed to see what they have to say, but after reading these posts, I think I may have to lodge a complaint.

Has anyone actually received a refund from these people. e.g a cheque which clears?
by wilburworm Tue Aug 17, 2010 5:23 am
What on earth are Fair Trading doing about this business. It seems as if they are employing staff full time to deal with complaints about these crooks. Can't believe they are still operating.

I never thought to google them and ordered $126 of sentinel 19 days ago. Have emailed twice and no response, very upset as can't afford to now go buy more medicine products for my puppy. A couple of people have said they got their money back through their bank - how do you go about that?
