I wish I had seen this site before I ordered a product from petfood 24/7. Unlike others, I did receive the product, but it is faulty. Needless to say, I have not received any response to my emails.

From the most recent posts, it sounds as if the company has been slowly responding and addressing issues, so don't stop pursuing it or give up hope that you can resolve the problem to your satisfaction! Please let us know if your issues do in fact get resolved.

Hi, I am new to your forum and like others only wish I knew of its existance before I placed an order with Petfood247.com.au.

My order for approx $100 of goods was placed 17/01/2010 and like others I have been unable to contact this Mcduff fellow since. I have tried again today after phoning the regulatory authorities who basically don't want to know. I got shunted from one government office to the next and statelines made no difference. i was finally told to contact the Net Registry office. They unfortunaly had an message phone set up so were uncontactable. From what I heard and or was told previous, this fellows online business basically operates under the law and civil action is the only option available. I think this guy knows that individuals are not going to take that action to retrive a few dollars against the cost of hiring a lawyer.

I can now only hope my luck is half as good as those who have received either some/all of their goods ordered or refunds. I for one will spread the word about this guys business practices or lack thereof.

Welcome Kiwi Cowboy and Unhappy.

Going by the number of complaints we receive about this company they appear to be getting worse, i can only hope that your orders are filled eventually.

Here is another email address you could try from their terms and conditions page;

I made the same mistake as many of you by ordering on 1/4/10. When I recieved no response after 7 days I went searching & found this site. I checked my bank account on 7/4/10 to find they took my money the day before.  OH CRAP!!!! I sent to every email suggested & tried every phone number listed with no success. I then sent another email to every address requesting info or further action would be taken. On 12/4/10 I recieved 2 emails from [email protected] stating my order was confirmed & had been sent. WELL SURPRISE SURPRISE :yikes: Today, 14/4/10 my order arrived all complete & with 12 months expiry date on the food. I am very happy & shocked after everything I've read here. Whilst I will not trust them again no matter how good value their products, I thought I should let you know that sometimes we can be lucky. I am still appalled by their lack of customer service & think they need a little :bondage: ( well not bondage but a definite whipping!!!!)
All the best guys,
Jo

Hi Jo and welcome to Scamwarners,

Thanks for posting a (almost) good news story), 2 weeks to receive your order doesn't sound too bad, maybe they are lifting their game a bit, lets hope the trend continues :D

I really wish that I read this thread before I ordered items from petfood247! But it seems that I am receiving my items sometime soon... Here is what happened.

I placed an order on the 26th of March and receved the confirmation email which said my item has been shipped on the 30th of March. At this stage, I never suspected that petfood247 is that dodgy. I though the deliverly may be slow due to Easter, but my items didn't arrive even after a week or so. So I sent emails and also tried to ring them, but I never received any reply from them and phone numbers were disconnected. Yesterday, I decided to process complaint to the office of fair trading NSW. I explained the details of what has been happening and even attached the emails I have sent to petfood247. Today, the fair trading officer came back to me and told me that he contacted Mr McDuff and checked the deliverly status. According to the report, McDuff sent my items by courier once and the deliverly returned to them on the 13th of April (I have no idea why) and he sent me the items again with Australia Post. Although I could not get a tracking number for the ongoing deliverly with Aus post, I have got a tracking number for the previous courier deliverly and it was legitimate.

Hopefully my items won't be retured to the sender this time... As most people here say, this company may not be a scam, but customer service does not exist at all! For people who have been waiting for the items for a while, I would suggest that you contact the office of fair trading in NSW. I'm not sure how much further action they can take, but they could at least contact McDuff guy and gave me update whereas I can never reach him direct.

Hi everyone,
I too found this website after ordering from Petfood247, and not being able to contact them by phone.I ordered a Large Snooza dog bed and paid $125.00.
I wanted to let everyone know that my order arrived.
I ordered late in the evening on the 12th April 2010. Then every 2 days I sent them an email to [email protected]. I numbered the emails informing them that all emails were being saved incase the item did not arrive and the NSW Department of Trading needed evidence to pursue them.
I received a confirmation of order email the day after I placed the order, 13/4 and then a shipping notice email on the 22nd April, approximately 10 days after I placed the order. My item arrived today 27th April via Fastway couriers. There was a long weekend in the middle of this shipping time so it appears they have shipped when they stated they did.
Someone is reading the emails so please continue to email them if you are still waiting for items.
My order was recent and has been fulfilled without too much drama.
All the best to all of you still waiting for your items.

Like all of you, I wish I had known about this blog! I am soooo cross with myself for not listening to my partner who said to find out about any complaints before ordering. I was never one to trust buying online in the first place and boom! I can still count with 1 hand the amount of times I have bought online. They were $40 cheaper compared to other suppliers for one of the products I wanted and it irks me to think that the theory "if it's too good to be to true, it probably is" applies to me!
I only placed my order on the 18/04/10. I am hopeful that I will get the same outcome as some of you and actually receive the products I ordered. My credit card co. tells me that they took the money on the 18th and that a dispute can be made against the merchant 15 days after the order has not been received. I emailed petfood247on the 22nd, 26th and again today just to ask that they confirm when I am to expect receipt of order eventhough I've already read this blog and wanted to say something different.
Fingers crossed.

I am so glad to have found this Scamwarners site and I'm very grateful for the info on here.

I found Petfood247.com.au through one of those shopping comparison sites that Google brings up when you do a search for a specific item. I ordered a medium sized Hound House from them on 15.4.10 and paid by credit card. At $124.49 including courier delivery to Qld, it was enough of a discount to enable me to choose a Hound House over a less satisfactory cheaper product. I received an order confirmation email from [email protected] on the same day that I placed my order, and the funds left my bank on the 17.4.10.

When the item didn't arrive several days past the 3 days' delivery time promised on the website, I began to become a bit concerned. I have since sent enquiry emails to both the above email address and the [email protected] address given on their website. In doing so, I realised that in each of the different places that I found contact info for them, their details were all always different. None of the phone numbers I have tried, including those given by other posters on this forum, are currently connected. Neither have I received any replies to my emails.

I absolutely cannot afford this monetary loss or the inconvenience of the delivery delay. Because of various problems involved with courier deliveries to my place of abode, I have been staying home every day since 19.4.10 awaiting delivery of this kennel, thinking that it will arrive any day. I am now reduced to just hoping that like other posters on here, I will eventually receive my item, and that I haven't done my dough on a rip-off.

The disrespect shown by this company, even in the area of simple human courtesy, let alone reasonable business professionalism, is a nasty taste I will not forget in a hurry.

Hi Babe in the woods and Disco Pup, welcome to Scamwarners.

I am sorry about the circumstances that you found us but the good news is it could have been much worse, from what we have seen you will get what you ordered eventually.

Please keep us updated.

Well, I am afraid to report that i am the latest person to have received diabolical service fropm Petfood 247.
I ordered a dog hammock on the 21st April and have emailed them and phone the cut off numbers and had no reply and no goods to date.
I have canceled my credit card, due to them having my details and the product was required for a trip i have this week end.
I have reported them to the Office of fair trading and, although I am happy to hear that i do have a chance of getting my goods eventually, I cannot believe that companies are allowed to continue operation under these standards and fabrication of dates for delivery.
This company should be fully investigated and be stopped from trading.
I will keep you all updated and sorry to hear you have also had bad experience of this company.
