It's strange that such a major global company selects an entirely irrelevant domain name isn't it ?

If you miss out the bit before the first full stop you get what claims to be a Palestinian hacker's website or stolen site.

It isn't professional at all and smacks of being operated by someone rather who is somewhat childish but still a danger to any unwary buyers.

Even though the transfer is in YOUR name, the scammer will pick it up at Western Union where he is located. Western Union transfers can be picked up anywhere in the world and with no/limited ID. Their purpose is to send money in an emergency to someone you know, not to be used for business transactions. Never use Western Union for any online transactions with a stranger.

I didn't quite understand how the scammers mentioned Shiply - did they point you to the genuine website, or did they try to send you to a fake one?

In any case, sooner or later you would have received an email claiming to be from Shiply, but in reality sent by the scammer. They would have told you to send the money (via Western Union), and that they would hold the money in escrow until you had seen the car and decided to keep it. Of course, there is no car at all.
