Ok, here is another one. I have been duped by this crowd. Ordered on August 31st, monies withdrawn officially from bank Sept 3rd. Started to get a little worried when I tried to call the mobile number and the vcml was a grunt. Then called back to find vcml on mobile was full and couldnt leave a message. Sent an email asking where my order was and then forgot about it all until Monday this week. Husband was home and he started to google the company and we found this forum.

So sent another email on Monday and tried mobile again. Called the house today being the 16th September and spoke to the wife who said its her husbands business and she knows nothing about it. Her name she said was Sue. So who is this LizMarie person answering all the forum queries. Sent her an email too last night but no response of course.

When the wife said I could pass on a message as he wont be home until 2.45pm, I said yes. Ask him to call me or his name and company are going to be part of Question time in the NSW Parliament.

Also we lodged a compalint with Office of Fair Trading but I havent heard from them either. I rang this morning and left a message for Vivian.

So, I will see if I get my refund sent. I know its only 3 weeks coming up but I thought I would have my items at least within 5 working days. And the thing that annoys me the most, I never get a response to the emails and messages. If this Gary McDuff took the time out to repsect his customers and give them information re delays etc then we would totally understand. But he remains faceless.

I have now had to travel many miles to the Pet shop in the next town to buy some food for my cats. So I am out of pocket even further. :oops: :oops:

Just an update to finish my experience off, after contacting OFT again yesterday I was told the tablets were actually dispatched 10th September not 8th as promised and to wait a few days.

I've just checked my mail and miraculously the stuff has arrived and looks in good condition!

6 and a half weeks, 20+ emails, 10+ phone calls and 3 conversations with vivian from OFT later ... at least I got the stuff but needless to say I'll be forever avoiding this scammer again!

My story : I ordered a $50 dollar product on 10/8/2010
and only received it today 16/9/2010 ( 38days or 5-6 weeks later )
All I can say to the owner Garry McDuff, thanks for finally sending the goods, ( at least your honest ) but this is no way to do business. Customers need to be notified, and in a postive way. Also if the item is out of stock, or your process is too slow, an immediate refund should be given
( your turn over time time is to long ) and because you offer no communication/ with reason/ and being uncontactable --- well what can I say ??? ---- for those of us that are impatient and concerned,
This is what they will do..
1) Lodge a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT ) ph.0285670013 or
email them at -- http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au
Vivian from fair trading is familar with your case ( ph.87784000 ) but post a complaint first.

2) Contact the merchants ( ie. petfood 24/7) bank who processed the paymament for non- delivery -- this can be done through your banks credit card system.
3) the out come of the above, with many complaints will cause : i) OFT to inestigate further
ii) his bank to revoke his credit status

I hope this information has been helpful to all. I don't believe this is a scam, Gary McDuff is just slow to deliver because of cash flow.

Thanks Eddie for you detailed info. Hopefully my order will still come. I was a bit concerned that my order was late so rang the mobile but mailbox was full. have now emailed for update on my order. I was surprised their was a problem with this company because i ordered from them in April 2010 and my order came within a week. Must of been lucky, or maybe because i was a first time user. Its a nuisance that the order was not rec'd now my pets are late for their treatment & i have to fork out money somewhere else in the meantime. Will not order from them again. I have had ordered online before and not rec'd goods & have been successful with lodging a non receipt of goods & obtained a credit to my card. I will give them another week before proceeding with this action. will keep you posted.

yet another victim of petfood247.com.au Have like those before me lodged a complaint with Fair Trading NSW and contacted my bank.It appears that this has been going on since Nov 2009 but nothing has happened to close down the site.

Thanks for all your comments on this site and sharing your experiences with this so called company.

Same as everyone, my order never arrived, and no response to my emails and phone calls.

I had lodged a complaint with NSW Fair Trading on 17/09/10. Vivian called me today to say that this company is now under investigation as they are no longer compling with them. I was told there is nothing Fair Trading can now do to help, and my only chance is to contact my bank (if you paid by credit card) and lodge a dispute on the transaction, as your bank will deal with his bank, not him directly.

Only hope that his bank accounts haven't been frozen.

All I can say is thank goodness something is being done now to put this idiot out of business.

If you are making a claim on your card through your bank 'normallyhappy', it won't matter if the company's account is frozen. You'll be paid by the company who are providing their merchant trader facility, not the pet product company.

As per my above post, I received my stuff on September 16th (last Thursday) so well after your August date.

Totally disagree that Gary McDuff is not a scammer or that he is honest in any way shape or form. To lie through your teeth and say stuff was sent weeks ago when it wasn't is completely dishonest, I have absolutely no doubt that if I didn't chase it up with OFT and Gary many many times then I would have received no goods and no refund.

Wish I had found this site first. Learnt the hard way to research a company more thoroughly before ordering online. Same story as everyone else, placed an order August 18 for Heartworm Tablets and heard nothing for two weeks. Found this site and became concerned. Emailed 3 times and phoned 3 times and received no response even after listing action I would take if communication was not forthcoming. Contacted NSW Fair Trading through email, they responded quickly but within three days sent an email saying they were unable to contact Petfood247 and I should consider other courses of action. Forwarded there email with the emails I sent Petfood247 to the ANZ card section and within 3 days the funds are back in my account. Suggest other take a similar course of action to force this clown to either close down or develop the level of customer service people rightly expect.

This site was created to deal with Internet scammers who are without doubt criminals, and are to all practical purposes beyond the reach of the law. Everything they tell you is lies, and you have zero chance of getting anything for the money you send you.
We have to make a distinction here. It doesn't mean we are saying that it is safe to deal with him, or that he can be trusted. Certainly, none of the "staff" here would place an order with this business.

I ordered $75 worth of goods on 19 July, money debited from my credit card straight away, received a confirmation email with my order number etc .... but no goods to date ie more than two months later. They don't answer my emails, and their voicemail is full.

Make a claim for a refund through your card company.

It's your right and it's the fault of the trader that you have to do it.

It won't come as a surprise to the pet product company or the finance company that provides his merchant trader facility.

Yet another sucker and this is beyond just slow delivery!! I placed my order and paid 13th July 2010 and have done as all the others and tried phoning and emailing to no avail. So now I have to do the whole chase up for either a refund or something to get my $125.93 back. What a creep and a pathetic way to take peoples money! I am so angry about this place. Just reminds you about checking out EVERY site before handing over details or money. Wish me luck!
