Welcome to Scamwarners.
As Gomer advised someone else, claim the refund from your credit card company. If enough customers do that, the more likely that his credit card facilities get withdrawn.

I wanted to wait until my cheque had cleared and it has a few days ago.

I also had contacted NSW Fair Trading and was told this idiot had stopped responding to them and they were about to lodge an invbestigation.

So I got on the telephone to these pll, got the wife and told her firmly. if he doesnt refund my money by tomorrow, I am going to have both him and his company metnioned in question time in the NSW Parliament.
What a surprise when an express post envelope arrived the next day with a cheque. I spent a few days sweating to see if the cheque cleared and fortunately it did.

So for those who havent been refunded, get on the phn to the house number which has been listed here and let them know you will do the same.

And if the cheque doesnt arrive, feel free to contact you local member of parliament if in opposition and get them to ask the question, what is the government doing about him and this company.

Good luck.

I like and approve of your style hungrycats.

Having paid by cheque you were in the weakest position but you didn't allow that to deter you.

I hope that ohers will see from your success that there's no reason to allow yourself to be fobbed off.

Thanks for coming by and telling us.

Interesting to find his site - I am another victim, having ordered dog food and Sentinel spectrum Chews.($175 worth!)
Order confirmed, credit card charged 30/8 - nothing received to date.
Having found this forum, contacted OFt but the lady recommended is on leave until next week.
Have tried contacting Liz.Marie as suggested - like all the other attempts to contact this company - no response.
I've given them till Friday for action and then I will take it further.
Thank you for all the advice - will certainly add the site to my favourites. :=)

I wouldn't wait.

Fair Trading told me they can't help with getting any action (either goods or refund) because Petfood247 are not compling with their requests, and they are now under investigation.
My advice to you is to proceed with attempting to get a refund through your credit card by lodging a dispute on the transaction with your bank. A form for this is most likely available on your bank's website. Alot of people from this site have successfully got their money back this way, and actually it is now your only chance now that fair trading are unable to help.
I lodged my dispute with ANZ, and got the money returned to my account in less than a week. I'm pretty sure that by now the banks are aware of this company and are processing these claims faster than normal.
GoodLuck and seriously don't wait and waste any more time.....Go get your money back

Great to see this is the No.1 tread under Auctions and online selling heading. There are many unhappy campers like myself trying to deal with the Duffster and OFT. Looks like I'll be contacting my bank tomorrow as "normallyhappy" suggests.
Love it when you google map his address, he seems to live in a modest but pinkish looking Barbie home  . Must be doing all right(ish) with our 'borrowed" money.

Has there been any publicity about their scam?
Maybe something lke ACA or similar?
I haven't seen anything - it was only by chance that I found this site to confrm my suspicions.

Thanks Gomer. I didnt actually pay by cheque, I paid by CC. Petfood247 actually paid me back by cheque and I wanted to wait until this had cleared before I mentioned my victory. :oh-joy: :oh-joy: :oh-joy:

The mentioning in Parliament thing seemed to be the camel that broke his back.

Also, he only refunds by cheque so his merchant services credit rating doesnt go down and it costs him to refund via MS. I just want to know why he is bothering to keep going and what the actually problem is.

We certainly can't, as we have no official status. In the case of a website set up with the sole purpose of scamming, we can ask the host to take it down. And usually they will. This though, is a real business, that will send the goods if leaned on.
Scamwarners is international, and I can't answer your last question.

LOL HARD!!!

I also have lost money and no product. However my story is a little bit diffrent to all of yours. I was warned not to buy off him by another retailer prior. Plus I KNOW HIM! I dont want to say how. But i have been advised he has no money and is sinking... but someone needs to shut that website down before he does too much damage!

Aparrently petforce was closed down basiclaly because he was broke. Then he opened the petforce online website and done the same thing there that he done to all of use. Took our money and didnt send us any products. Then he shut that one and then opened up this one we have all been stung by.

I will clarify his wife's name is Sue, and that other name someone mentioned, Liz that would be his daughter. One of.. dunno how she got dragged into this mess. Gary McDuff should man up and sort out this crap and not let his family cop it all. That is also his house in Bangor - incase anyone was wondering.

So on that note ill report thim, then contact my bank (i paid by CC) and see if i can get refunded. I will try until i am blue in the face to get this website shut down.

I to have sent emails and left messages with no response. I will say tho i am lucky this order was only $90, the last one i ordered (which i received) was $450.00!

Thanks guys and i will definetly checking this forum going forward before i buy anything.

Welcome to Scamwarners, and thanks for your information.

While we're happy that this topic is doing some good, it isn't the type of scam this site was set up to fight. We aren't a source of information on real businesses that are ripping off customers.

Unfortunately I've been scammed aswell :x

I made an order on 11 Sept and when I received no communication or goods after 14 days I decided to investigate further and I found this website. All I can say, is thank you to everyone who recommended calling Vivian at OFT NSW. She told me the supplier was under investigation and the best option was to submit a Transaction Dispute form to my financial instituation, which I did after allowing the supplier 48 hours notice to respond or dispatch the goods. So after 48hrs of getting NOTHING I submitted the transaction form via fax along with supporting emails etc to ANZ. I received my refund SAME DAY!!! Goes to show what sort of business these people are running.
So now I received an email from the supplier nearly a week after receiving the refund advising my order had been dispatched... 'now what' I thought! So I rang Vivian to seek some advice. She said to email the supplier immediately, and advise them you have received a cashback and to arrange for the recollection of the goods from their courier.
So I've done that, I just have to wait and see what happens. I certainly will not tolerate any more crap off these people, especially after I clearly stated in an email to them a week ago that I was to seek a full refund within 48hrs.
Hope this helps people in the same situation and this supplier is banned from retailing!
If anyone else has had a similar situation with getting the goods dispatched after refund, I recommend getting them returned to the supplier immediately or contact Vivian at the OFT NSW office for further advice (02 8567 0013)
Good luck everyone!

Just to let people know. I placed an order about two and a half weeks ago. And like many here found this site and became a little concerned. He does say to wait two weeks for delivery on the his web. (which I do agree is a shocking amount of time). Well the two weeks went past and I sent an email to the address on the invoice. Received a response the next day, Thursday, and delivery today just after the weekend. Nearly three weeks but it did arrive.

One of the problems harry has been that what I believe was an unrealistic deiivery period originally quoted on the website. Now that this notice appears on it the level of customer dissatisfaction may be reduced.

Shipping and Freight Costs

Over the last few weeks we have seen significant change with distribution within the Pet Supplies Industry. In order to maintain our low cost range of products we have commenced changing distributors so that we may maintain our pricing and in some instances reduce prices. However with these changes we are experiencing delays in receiving bulk stocks and during this transition we are experiencing delays in suppling orders of up to 14 days. These delays will only be short term.

We apologise for the delays and naturally are doing all possible to minimise these. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Well another one bites the dust. When are they going to stop this guy in his tracks? I placed my order on 20th September 2010, of course the money was taken from my account and to date no products. I have spent the whole day contacting people, writing online complaints and reading posts about petfood247.

This guy just shouldn't be allowed to operate. I don't care that he just provides bad customer service. I want my products or money back now.

Here is another forum to visit: http://www.myshopping.com.au/SV--2063441_PetFood247
