I have only just found this website, I ordererd cat supplies 10 days ago and have tried to call them but get a msg saying their mailbox is full and can't take anymore msgs. I have also sent a couple of emails with no reply, I was starting to get a bit concerned as the other company that I usually order from deliver in 3 days. That's why I started seaching for information on petfood247 I wish I had done this before I placed my order. The $104 has been taken from my card I only hope that I have not lost my money, I will keep emailing and calling them. I know I haven't been waiting very long but after reading all of the posts I am concerned. Does anybody have any suggestions that would help.

katemt,
I'm sorry you are out of pocket. I hope it's at least some comfort knowing you aren't alone in all this.
You should be able to get your money back either through your bank, or through this guy (wouldn't hold my breath).
Your best bet is to contact the bank that issued your card and let them know what is going on. They may already be familiar with this business. File a dispute with them, if you can, and file a complaint through Fair Trade, NSW and with the ACCC ScamWatch. If you are up to it, also send an email to A Current Affair and help us get this guy shut down.
All of these have online filing. See the previous pages for the addresses if you need them.
Good luck to you.

Thanks JanH for your advise I have lodged a complaint with my bank they say it will take up to 45 days I will also lodge with Fair Trading. I have reorded my cat products with my usual company, which I should have done in the first place. Like everyone else I was tring to save a few dollars, I know everyone can't afford to be losing money, I am receiving a dissability payment as I am a cancer patient and don't have any money to spare.
I only hope this place is closed down, what I have read they seem to be the same people who had a pet store at Sutherland, I used to buy products from them and one day they just shut up shop and left.

Miracles do happen!!! surprise surprise!!!!!
I sent another email to orders@petfood247 and forwarded all of the emails to [email protected] and told him I will be lodging a comlpaint with Dept Fairtrading and the ACCC if he did not return my messages, refund my money or deliver the products.
The next day 21st Dec, I received an email from orders@petfood247 saying "my order has been dispatched" today I received the products that I ordered. I would like to thank you all for your help without the information from this site I am sure I would not have received the items.

Hi,
Well, I'm again one of the many who ordered products from petfood24/7 without checking first. I ordered on the 18th Nov 2010, and am still waiting. Of course i have left many emails and phone messages, and never had a reply. Seems like the same old story. What I'm hoping for is they do eventually send my product. What's the wait time ... about 3 months?
I have lodged a complaint with fair trading yet, should I?
What's the deal with a reverse on the credit card? Can that be done this late? How do I do it? I spent about $65 and would like either product or money to buy elsewhere.
I bought Sentinel for my dog, and she is missing out.

Thanks
MAB

mab,
Sorry to say it, but welcome to the growing ranks of people taken in by this guy.

You need to call the bank that issued your credit card and raise a dispute over the charge. Depending on the bank, you may need to provide copies of the emails you sent along with a letter spelling out the attempts to contact this guy.
Some banks are already aware of this guy and will reverse the charge right then and there.

By all means, lodge with the Fair Trade office, NSW (where he is). Here's a link:

Fair Trade Complaints
http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/About ... laint.html

While you're at it, lodge a complaint at the ACCC ScamWatch site:
https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/content/in ... eportascam

and send an email to A Current Affair:
http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/feedback.aspx

Help shut this guy down!
Best of luck. BTW, I usually get my Sentinal off eBay for way less than at shops, and it always arrives fast.

These people need to be accountable for their criminal behaviour, and it is criminal. So what it isn't a huge amount of money for any one individual, but put it all together and it's BIG $$$$$$$$ I know what would happen if any individual took even $50 from a business, big NO NO, so why should this lot get away with it?

Please go to these other sites and see how many people have been ripped off by Petfood 24/7. If you have not contacted Fair Trading and the ACCC please do so and direct them to the below as well. I'm sure there are many other sites with similar feedback.

Maybe it's time we started looking at a class action lawsuit to get him shut down and get our money back. Anyone interested?

Ok, I've started the process. I have contacted my bank, and will forward them all the information. I have lodged a complaint with fair trading and ACCC.

I don't know if anything will come from it.

Hopefully the next person who goes to purchase pet supplies, googles the name first.

Hi,

My result was really fast. I contacted my bank on the 10th Jan, faxed emails and details on the 11th Jan, and received my money back on the 12th Jan. That's pretty good.

I also lodged a complaint with fairtrading and ACCC.

Fairtrading called me on the 11th stating that there is a formal complaint in process. No further details.

Well, at least I'm not out of pocket, and can now go get my dog worming tablets somewhere else.

Cheers

Hi fellow petfood247 .... suckers.

Yep... looks like I've been had also. Order placed (& $$ debited immediately from my credit card) on Dec 19 - nothing received.

Phone calls x2 & emails x2 have fallen on deaf ears. Feeling somewhat suspect about this so-called business, I now decide to google petfood247 & was blown away with ALL the dissatisfied customers. Tolerance will now be tossed out the window!!

I have just sent my final email to [email protected] requesting either email confirmation of dispatch within 24 hours or confirmation of a refund, or I will lodge a dispute with my bank. I will also contact the Department of Fair Trading in NSW and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce, as well as ASIC.

I will NOT sit idely & allow some dirtbag to benefit from MY well earned money.

We have also had no luck with this bloke has anyone got his address i would love to meet this guy for a blunt discussion
by JanH Fri Jan 14, 2011 3:23 am
I would make sure to take a witness or two with you if you show up at his place!
The address was listed on page 21 of these complaints as:
Gary John McDuff
10 Kiara Close
Bangor NSW Australia 2234

Home Ph: 02 9543 7818

If I were in NSW, I'd go with you. Maybe you can get a number of people together and go at one time. Just make sure everyone holds their temper and be prepared to be moved along by police!

Good Luck

We have also just been taken by this company. I have contacted our Bank who were very helpful as well as the ACCC and Fair Trading. With sufficient complaints this company should be targeted and fined.
