Claiming Refund from NAB

Contact NAB Card Department or go online and search for a "Credit Card Disputed Transaction Advice Form", which guides you go through necessary steps. I also attached my original email invoice and copy of the letter I've been using to complain to various agencies. Make sure you keep copies of course.

It's good to see disgruntled customers are lodging complaints. It's worth the effort because I think we will make headway. Perservere !!

I'm yet another victim. Purchase made in early December 2010 still not received. He was very quick to grap the money.
Have lodged a complaint with Fair Trading, we'll see how that goes.
I'll also take up the suggestion about NAB credit cards, thanks for that.

I also received my money back from Westpac - they were very prompt and I dont think it is the first time they have had this request re Petfood 247!!

I have lodged a formal complaint with Fair Trading (but that doesnt seem to get anywhere) and also ASIC. I think there are many who are doing this - but I think we should start contacting the same people in these places - as perhaps the complaints are getting lost in the system or people are just not noticing the continuous complaints.

The person who I've dealt with at ASIC - is Leigh Coughlan - he said he was investigating it - I gave him the link to this forum - just to show him how many people this scumbag has taken for a ride - Leigh's contact details are: [email protected]Has anyone thought of camping out at his PO Box to see when he collects his mail!!! I wish I was in that state! I'd have a film crew waiting!

I have been waiting for 18 days for an order and was getting worried so I googled Petfood 247 and found this site. Very worrying with so many people saying they haven't received their orders. I have rung Gary and gave him my order number and he said I will get the order on Thursday. I can just hope it arrives. Not a nice situation  I will let you know if it arrives.

To Maccanh - You said you rang and spoke to Gary??? Are you kidding me? Are you the lucky one!
What number did you use? All the numbers I have used do not go through. I'd appreciate if you would mind sharing the number so we can also speak to Gary to get our order sent. However - let us know if you really DO get your order or if it is another false promise of his! Keep us posted and please share the number with us.

I have also spoken with Gary on the home number that is listed on this website. The trick is to catch him off guard, don't ring during standard business hours, i called him around 5:30pm on a Saturday and he answered, gave me some BS excuse about my order being sent the previous day.
I received my goods the following Tuesday after they were posted on the Monday (and they were actually within expiration date!).
Still reported his ass to Fair Trading and ASIC.

Gary sent an email this morning to say that my order has been despatched so I am hopeful it will arrive. When I rang It was about 5.30 at night and just asked if that was Gary,( I was friendly) I said I had ordered & I was worried that it may not arrive because I had read some bad stuff about the company on the internet. He asked for my order number & then said I would receive it on Thursday. I asked if the company had been having problems and he said "I have not been working for a couple of months but I am back now"...or words to that effect. So I just thanked him & hung up.
The number I got him on was 0295437818
I will let you know if my order does arrive.

ADD ME TO THE LIST OF SUCKERS. I PLACED AN ORDER AND PAYED FOR SAME DAY FOR FRONTLINE ON THE 25/01/2011 HOPING I COULD GIVE THE DOGS SOME RELIEF. AS OF TODAY I AM STILL WAITING. OF COURSE THE PHONE MESSAGE I LEFT WHENT UNANSWERED AND NEXT TIME I CALL THE MESSAGE BANK IS FULL. HE COULD SPEED UP HIS DELIVERIES IF HE USED A NEARSIGHTED DYSLEXIC CARRIER PIGEON WITH OSTEO ARTHRITIC WINGS AND A LUNG INFECTION AS A COURIER. I SHALL GIVE HIS PHONE NUMBER A GO TOMORROW NIGHT TO SEE WHAT EXCUSE I CAN GET. IF BY CHANCE THE ORDER ARRIVES IT MIGHT BE IN TIME FOR NEXT SUMMER.

I've been duped by this company as well. I ordered on the 19th Jan 2011 and have heard nothing, even with me continually emailing and phoning his mobile. I've contacted Fair Trading and my bank to recover the money. I also lodged a complaint to Google (where I found this website in the first place). Fair Trading may not be able to do anything directly because when I setup my online business I found out I didn't actually have to register with them. Information on their website as follows:

Trading on the internet
If your business trades only via the internet you do not have to register and display a business name in New South Wales.

Perhaps I could suggest to you to go back to the place you found Petfood247 and get them to take the advertisement down. Plus continually contact Petfood247 and make complaints to which ever dept you can think of. Eventually he will disappear...but alas, maybe he'll just start up under a different name.

All of his info, including his address and home phone number, have now been posted on page 1 of this thread. In fact, every piece of information you might want is there, all in one place.
Have a look.

For what it is worth, I have just found that there is going to be a hearing at the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal of NSW about Petfood247The details listed show:

HURSTVILLE: Wednesday, 16 Feb 2011
9:15 AM at Hearing Room 2 Floor 3, 4-8 Woodville Street Hurstville NSW
GEN 11/01931

It is listed at:
https://esd.cttt.nsw.gov.au/Hearing/HearingList.aspx?LocationCode=2220

I wonder if anyone can show up to support the claimant?

If you are in the area, it might help the cause.

Unfortunately I can't make it at this stage, but will try if it carries over to another time. At least it feels like our action is getting somewhere.

I received a response from the ACCC; I've selectively included the salient info:

"the ACCC cannot pursue all the complaints it receives. While all complaints are carefully considered, the ACCC must exercise its discretion to direct resources to the investigation and resolution of matters that provide the greatest overall benefit for consumers and businesses. The ACCC’s Compliance and Enforcement policy describes in more detail how this discretion is exercised. This policy, which is available on the ACCC’s website [www.accc.gov.au], lists a number of factors that are weighed including whether conduct raises national or international issues, involves significant consumer detriment or a blatant disregard of the law...Please note that your matter is important to the ACCC as it assists us in determining issues with national or wider public interest implications. We closely study the patterns of complaints that we receive to ensure that our enforcement and education actions are focused on the areas of greatest concern to Australian consumers...In this instance the details of your complaint will be used in the context of the ACCC’s ongoing monitoring to determine whether there is a pattern of behaviour by Petfood 24/7 or a pattern within the Retailing Industry that may raise broader concerns...It must be emphasised that, ultimately, it is a matter for the Courts to determine whether the alleged conduct breaches the ACL and a private right of action is available to anyone who suffers loss or damage as a consequence of a contravention of this legislation. While it is unclear whether the ACCC will pursue this matter further your private rights to action will not be affected"

I hope our complaints to the ACCC has contributed to the DFT however. I'll keep checking for updates here.
