I've lodged a complaint with Fair Trading already. no point waiting around trying to tie these cowboys down.

If I hear back from FT I'll post here and point you all in the same direction, however, having dealt with Fair Trading before, I am *not* holding my breath on this one.

I'll also try to call Mr McDuff this a.m. on that mobile I unearthed and report back with what he says.

Edit: ------ (addendum) ---------
Okay I called the mobile for E McDuff (posted 2 posts above) and guess what?

"The service you are calling is switched off, or out of coverage".

DOUBLE AARRRRRGGGH!

So I ordered the same product from another website because I haven't heard from Petfood24/7 since the 18th April. This supplier delivered within 2 days - goods arrived this morning. BUT GUESS WHAT!!!! MY ORDER FROM PETFOOD24/7 ARRIVED A COUPLE OF HRS LATER!

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! I am now out of pocket $140 because I wont be able to return either of them now, wont I? Humphhhhhhh!

OK, Ralph, these guys may not be Scammers to the real sense of the word, but this McDuff is a serious duff-duff! It's not a crime to have Terrible Customer Service which is the most unfortunate thing about this whole debacle. All Petfood24/7 has to do is change the delivery information to 14 working days then no one will have heart palpitations when their order doesn't arrive in 3!

Everyone, just wait a while longer before ordering from someone else or you'll end up spending double.

SO ANYONE WANTING TO BUY LARGE SNOOZA BED IN BROWN/SAND AND BONE COMBO FOR $140? Anyone?

Well it's two weeks later for me, still no goods and no further communication. I've had to purchase the goods from another supplier and fear like Disco pup, that I will be out of pocket if my order ever arrives!

DiscoPup - have you checked your second supplier's returns policy? Perhaps they will be more accomodating since this McDuff fellow is uncontactable.

Unfortunately I am adding to this thread with a complaint for petfood247.com.au. I ordered a Snooza futon on April 12 2010 and still have not received the product. I have sent three emails to three separate email addresses with no response. I have also tried the contact numbers supplied on both this website and the sellers website with no avail. I am not sure what to do next.

I got an email today from address [email protected] saying my goods have been 'despatched'. My heart is a flutter with excitement. I placed my order on 20/4/10. I will let you know if/when the package arrives.

Hi Trevlara and :-(

Unfortunately there is not a great deal you can do, contacting the department of fair trading and adding your complaints cant do any harm but realistically, by the time they do anything your goods are likely to have arrived.

Long term and for the sake of the next batch of dissapointed customers, if enough people complained to the department of fair trading they may take some action to get them to comply with their advertising.

Further to my previous post about the order of a Hound House kennel that I placed with petfood247 on 15.4.10...

have finally received my first communication from them - 2 emails dated 6.5.10, both from [email protected], which seems to be the only working email address out of the total of four that I have sent messages to.

One email was an order confirmation and the other contained the single sentence "Your order has been shipped". Nothing else - no details at all as to when, an estimated delivery date or, most important of all, who is delivering the item. Therefore I have no way of contacting them to track my order or do anything else with tem. Because of my disability and the circumstances of where I live, I cannot afford to miss a courier delivery. So I am back to having to wait at home all day every day for the courier, and having to cancel or reschedule my medical and therapy appointments (not an easy achievement with the current waiting lists for Qld Health) on a daily basis in order to be here.

In a recent post, DiscoPup said

That certainly would help, but for me there has been a lot more to deal with it than that. This whole experience has caused me an enormous amount of inconvenience, time loss, financial stress and compromised health issues. It is completely unacceptable by any standards of business practice for a company to fail to communicate with their customers to the extent this company does. They also have a legal obligation to disclose to the customer the name and contact details of the delivery company used.

If this Gary McDuff was selling on eBay, he wouldn't be allowed to remain a registered member with unusable phone numbers and other breaches of contactability, not to mention all the negative feedback. He would have be deregistered from eBay long before this.

What's the point of having a Trade Practices Act and legally enforceable standards of business conduct if a company can get away with the breaches of standards that this one does?

Woo Hoo ! Looks like my order that I placed 21/4 is finally on it's way to me. Crossing fingers and toes

Just received 2 emails today dated 7/5/10, 12:08pm, both from [email protected].
One email was an order confirmation and the other contained the single sentence "Your order has been shipped" followed by a copy of the order itself and at the bottom the message
'We are pleased to advise that your order has been shipped today.
Best regards
PetFood247 '

No other information and no way of finding our when or how to contact the courier to find out a delivery time or arrange for them to ring me prior to coming to ensure that I will be home. I did request this in one of my unanswered emails so I may be lucky if they actually read it.
As I live in a security block, I now have to stay home all day today and possibly Monday as I don't know if they deliver on weekends (hope not as I will be out Saturday), otherwise if they can't deliver I guess it will be returned to PetFood247 and I will never receive it.

This will be my one and only order with them obviously and I will be telling all my friends of my experience.

I will let you all know when I receive it (hopefully) as I could not see in previous emails the time frame between receiving the dispatch advice email and the actual delivery

I believe the bad press they have been getting has been noted and their business is suffering. I received the same 2 emails about dispatch, but remain with my report to the OFT until it arrives.
I will report back if and when it arrives. :yikes:

Hi All
I have had the same issue, and after emailing them to state that I would lodge a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading, I got the automated email stating that the order had been dispatched by a "courier".

After 1 day (as couriers deliver the same day), I emailed again and stated that I did not want to deal with them and wanted my money back. I emailed twice to ask where my order was, and I eventually received the goods 1 week later.

It seems threats etc gets a bit of action. Sadly, this is such a horrible way to deal with a company.

I got their link from getprice.com.au (comparing the best shopping price). is there any way to advise that website administrator to put a warning against this company?

Hope you all get your orders fulfilled.
Cheers.

I would NOT recommend Pet Food 24/7 to anyone! I have placed and paid an order on line with PETFOOD247. I attempted to contact them the second day after placing my order to add some items to it without any success. Their mobile phone is permanently switched off and my emails were never replied to. I took the advice from TravellingStar posted on your site and had some success. I sent following e-mail to [email protected] and received a reply after 36 hours that my order has been shipped, however at this point I am still awaiting my order.

Dear Sir,
RE: Order no: ****
I have placed an order with PETFOOD247 on the 28/04/2010. After several attempts of phoning you with no response and having sent you 3 unanswered emails I am considering to cancel my order. If you are able to deliver the goods shortly or at a later date please contact me for an estimated delivery date. Should you not have the goods or problems with delivering the order I wish to request a refund for the undelivered goods as soon as possible.
If for whatever reason this e-mail should remain unanswered in the next 48 hours I was advised by my credit card company to request a dispute resolution with the credit card company and to contact the Department of Fair Trading in NSW. Furthermore I was advised to contact the Australian Competition [/i]and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce.
Respectfully yours

I too received a shipping confirmation over the weekend - it's interesting that so many of us have had this sent at the same time!

Guess we'll have to wait and see if the goods actually arrive

I am getting a little anxious I must admit, I haven't received any confirmation from the company as yet. I did lodge a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading.

Just a short update; the goods actually have arrived this morning. Everything appears to be in order. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. As for me I will not have any dealings with PetFood247 in the future. :oh-joy:

I too wish I had found the information provided by scamwarners posters on PETFOOD247 before I place an order.

I placed an order 03/05/2010, PETFOOD247 accepted my payment 05/05/2010. Nothing has been shipped, my order status remains as shipped/payed.

I've called PETFOOD247 multiple times, emailed multiple times - NOTHING!!!!

The information provided by http://www.scamwarners.com/forum has been, unfortunately, invaluable.

I am following the recommendations from others who have been sizzled by PETFOOD247.

Will update if anything eventuates.
