Hello,
Your instincts are correct, this is a scam. If they had actually made the transfer the money would be in your account.
What was the email address that was used to send you this fake transfer notice?

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

Thank you for posing this email address. [email protected] is a free email account the scammer is using trying to impersonate the real RBS bank.

The best thing to do now is to just go silent and ignore all emails from this thief.

Email that is sent from an IP address in Mountain View is usually sent from a Gmail address (Google is in Mountain View). accountant.com's mail server is GMX. That means the sender's address is spoofed. But the writing style indicates that the sender is actually African.

As Mike Wilson has said, ignore all email from the scammer.

http://www.scamnumbers.info/shownumber. ... +40+997+11

Country Code: 855
Country Name: Cambodia
Validity: Cambodian phone numbers should be 11 or 12 digits in length including the country code. The number you searched for is 10 digits long.

You need to remember, with VOIP telephone services a # can be just a modem or a connection to the internet these days. It does not have to originate where it says it comes from. It could be someone sitting at a table next to you and show as a # calling from half way around the world.

please post the sender's email address. Then hit "reply" and see if it is the same email address. If they are different please post the "From" and "Reply To" email addresses.

If they are the same, just post the one address.

If you can reveal the complete headers from the emails, and post them that would be great. We could gain a lot of information from the complete headers. See the bottom of my post for how to reveal the complete headers in your email program links.
