Car scam on craigslist?

Hello to anyone who can help me...
I gave my phone number, first and last name, email and address to someone claiming to sell a Jeep Cherokee who was her dead son's ... that sounded crude but now I'm scared that I have been scammed, in fact, I am almost positive I have been scammed. I am not tech savvy and don't understand much about what information is important.

The following is a word for word email with a Donna Lankford... :

Hi again, the car is stored with all the paperwork in eBay warehouse, in Montgomery, AL headquarters in container,sealed and ready for delivery. Like i told you Me and my husband travel a lot with our business and I prepared the sale with eBay.
The transaction will be made thru eBay, all you have to pay for my car is $2,000 (delivery is already prepared and paid by me). You will have 5 days for inspection. During all this time eBay will keep safe the money into a trust account. At this point I was concerned but I have no idea how ebay works so I gave her the info. I then sent an additional email asking when they would contact me and got a reply in two minutes... it was my email being sent back to me? I was very confused about that and still am. I know this is lengthy but can someone please help me.

Scam . eBay doesn't have a warehouse or operate as an escrow company . Did you send them any money ?

Please post a link to the Craigslist ad . Also if you get any emails from the fake eBay , post those here also .

Sign up for Google alerts on the information you gave them . If you sent them any IDs or documents those have now been compromised .


If you get any emails from eBay or PayPal post or private message them here to a senior member or staff .

I am not sure how to do that. I didn't give them documents or IDs, the thing I'm concerned the most with is my address and phone number...

Google alerts on the info you gave them . That's all you can do .

The scammer was trying to steal money from you and there is very little that he can do with your basic personal information .
