Hello,
I am now almost certain this bloke is a scam but want it confirming as they seem to have an answer for everything!
I found a very very cheap deal on Rizla papers, these are in bulk orders of 1000+ box on alibaba. He emailed me extra details explaining the process, fees, shipping details ect ect. He wants a 50% down payment then 50% on delivery - paid by Western Union.
I first googled the company, this came back with one listing of it being a scam from August 2016, I questioned him on it and he said he can't stop other people using his company name and it was not him, fair enough.
This all seemed OK - but then he told me delivery would be 2-3 days after payment, which struck me as quite odd. We are talking about 1000 boxes over multiple pallets being airshipped from Thailand to mainland UK. Queried this and he broke down how the shipping works, and it would arrive here with DHL. When I asked for reviews he tells me to check his VAT number which is: VAT #:HU 10443314. I am not sure how to do this. He also lists his Skype to contact him which is Skype:adecco company Ltd, however this does not appear to exist. I have then asked again for a reference as I was feeling a little odd about this, he gave me the following list:

I rang "Matt Scott" on my lunch for a chat as he was based in London apparently, he could not speak English very well at all and had a strange Japanese like amine holding sound. I popped him over an email instead asking about the company ect to which he responded to everything instantly, telling me how great they were ect ect, I asked for any photos of items - if you order 1500 cartons (1 carton = 20 boxes), you're gonna take a photo at some point of that massive pile. He said he couldn't provide one. I asked him for any details he could provide and he gave me his last invoice. I have attached the picture of the invoice. This struck me as odd as the font changes often; as if a program like snagit has been used to alter. I sent the invoice to my father who works with international shipping who said there was no commodity code, and this is standard with anything coming into or out of the UK - he said there is no way this could be bypassed at all.
At this point I am pretty sure it's a scam and that Matt is in on it, I ask him if I can pop by his office for a chat as I am nearby (infact, i am over 300 miles away but he doesn't know that) to which he said he was travelling and away, but in the future sure. I googled his address they gave me above - it's the Hilton hotel.
I then googled another address above BUSINESS SOURCING SOUTH AFRICA, this looks to be a McDonalds. I have then googled [email protected] to which I found this website of this person doing a scam.
I am now 99% sure this is a con, but could do with a second set of eyes and if so, the word deserves to be out there. I am usually very quick with these and never been conned before, but he literally had an answer for everything so that worries me to how many people he's gotten.
