I recently posted an item for sale on Gumtree and received a request from the user Manlog for my email address for the purposes of discussing the item. This is what was sent to my email:
"Thanks for getting back to me. What is the present condition because I am buying it for my son, due to the nature of my work in Oil and Gas and we are presently offshore phone calls making and visiting of websites are restricted but I squeezed out time to check this advert and sent you a message regarding it. I also have a mover that will come for the pick up once the payment has been completed. I will be making the payment through paypal but if you does not have a paypal account yet, you can set up a paypal account at http://www.paypal.com.au. send me your paypal email address. The asking price. The pickup location."
Sender was:
Max Bright at [email protected]
I have the photo used for this gmail account but this site is not allowing me to attach an image.
I sensed a potential scam so searched the email address. Does anyone know this person?
