Ok, so I am selling a ring on Craigslist, and I've already received three scammer email today. This one is courtesy of Mark Hopkins, [email protected]. I replied to him, after he asked for my pay pal account that I wanted certain information from him before providing the information. The information I asked for was: his social security number, his place of employment with tax id, and the exact day he realized that it was ok to scam people. I haven't heard back!

His initial email:
I am interested in the ring,Let me know if you still selling it

My reply:
I am, Mark.

His reply:
I hope the information about the ring on Craigslist is genuine? Also i
should let you know i will be making the payment through PayPal as i
am currently out town.I am presently in Bronx NY but the shipping
charges and transfer commission on PayPal will be included when making
the payment to your PayPal account.Let me know if you are cool with the payment arrangement.Regards

My reply:
Sure, I will provide that information. First, please provide:
1. Your Social Security number
2. Your place of employment along with Tax ID number
3. The first day you actually realized you were ok with scamming people.

Thank you. Once the above is provided, I will be more than happy to
provide my paypal address.

Regards
