Craigslist Scammer - [email protected]

Another one. Same old "I'm out of town", "Need to use paypal". I hope there are not people who still fall for this. I got an email "is this item still for sale"? NOTE: This email was from Dan AMstrong, the next one in reply was from Dan ARMstrong (note the addition of the "R"). The email address had changed from [email protected] to [email protected].

When I replied NO PAYPAL, IN-PERSON TRANSACTIONS ONLY.

Beware of this scammer in craigslist he even sent me a letter from Paypal.com so people be careful dont ever believe someone thats asking you to send money wester union. email address was [email protected] claimed to be Dan Armstrong.

This is what he wrote to me:

I was just about to make the payment when i had this little problem with the picking up,I got an email from the company pick up agent,i taught i included that in my previous email. They said they won't come for the pick up unless i pay them the agent commission fee first in order to be able to schedule a pick up arrangement with you. The only form of payments they accept is western union money transfer and i tried to pay online but i will need a credit card which i didn't bring along, and there is no post office around,i will include the $900 they charged for the pick up and delivery to my home (1st class treatment). After i have made the payments and it has been confirmed by paypal, i will need you to help me send $800 to the company pick up agent through western union money transfer,the western union money transfer can be made at a post office near to you,there is always a western union agent in most post offices or online at www.westernunion.com. I added extra $100 to cover the western union charges which shouldn't be more that $60-75 but just to be sure i added $100. I will be making the payments shortly and will email you as soon as it has been paid into your paypal account.
