This is the email that I receieved after making a post in regards to a wedding dress; the name used is Jonathan Drake with an email address of Jonathan Drake <[email protected]>

The original email content looks like this:
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to me. I would have preferred to call you but I'm currently away for a contract Job and we don't give chance to make any other call than to attend to work. I can give you call after work if i get chance. Though I'll be using the services of a private mover (shipping company) who will come for the pick up of the item on my behalf all because I'm currently away for a contract Job but I will send a Check through my Bank to cover the cost of the items. The check will be delivered to you by a reliable courier
company within 2-3 working days. Please do provide me with following details for the delivery of the check :
Full Name to be on the payment
Full Mailing Address
City, State, Zipcode
cell phone #
Kindly delete the posting because am serious in buying it, when
the funds clears then we can arrange for the pick up.
Regards.

Over time, a check will be sent to you, although if you play the game well enough you can make this a long drawn out and time consuming adventure for Mr. Drake.

Stay clear of this mess...

Hello wlbdoc and welcome to ScamWarners.

Congratulations on recognising this for what it is - a scam. The scammer will have sent you a cheque for more than the price of the dress and will have asked you to forward the balance to the "shipper". After a few weeks (or even months), the cheque would have been found to be fake by your bank and they would have clawed back the money from you. You would have been left down the money you forwarded on and explaining to your bank and possibly the authorities why you were passing counterfeit cheques.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
