Hi Scamwarners,
This isn't the first time this site has come to my rescue and I thank you once again for doing so. I am currently trying to sell some furniture and got a response to my ad on Gumtree almost immediately. My first tip off about this guy being illegitimate was that in his response to my ad the item wasn't mentioned. The second was that when I asked which ad he asked for a list of the items I am selling at the moment. Also, the usual terrible grammar and spelling skills. Lastly, the decision maker for me was that despite the items being strictly pick up only he says he can only pay by paypal.... not okay.
Below are the emails between myself and the scammer. Edited to preserve my personal details. Hope this helps someone else escape these sad lowlife people.
First I got a text saying:

Also I should let you know the bed is actually a KING single, I thought and had it advertised as a single but I was wrong.

Sorry but being a pick up only item I am only willing to accept cash, if you cannot pay cash then I will sell this to another of the people who have enquired and can do so.
