Hi,

Just wanted to tell people about this Escrow scam using these sites:

http://www.gumtreesafeblog.com/auto-brokers.htm
This is the email address: [email protected]

Here is what happened.

I found a car that I wanted to buy on the Gumtree website. I send them a message through their messaging service. They sent me a text using Skype (which annonymises the number) with a hotmail account. I emailed the hotmail account then started a conversation.

After a while the I indicated that I wanted to buy the car. He said that he would like me to send the money to an Escrow account and then sent the details of the site above. These a obviously completely fake and part of scam.

DON'T SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!

Hi me_too and welcome to ScamWarners.

Thanks for posting the details of these 2 fake sites - I have made arrangements for these to be reported and closed down.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
