Is http://shopreadyltd.com/ a scam?

It uses a company email to respond to all my questions which is: [email protected]

Also It gives addresses and phone numbers of all there stores, and I'm pretty sure pick up is available but in Canada I think =\ (I can't remember exactly because I was talking to their customer service on there instant messenger service on the site. This messenger is only available when there is staff present at office or something)

It also allows me to use paypal and it has its company logo and everything in checkout it seems real D:.

And the prices are really cheap but not unbelievable.

But I still have a gut feeling that somethings off here. I just don't know what.

Please help =[ I don't want to be scammed again.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this,

Sith

I will flag this for more research by our site killers, but unfortunately, it's looking pretty fake.

Registered over a year ago, renewed just a few days ago. While most scam sites are gone within a year, if it hasn't been closed for fraud, a scammer will certainly renew it.

However, the 2011 website is certainly a far cry from this claim:
Domain Name: SHOPREADYLTD.COM
Registrar: MONIKER ONLINE SERVICES, INC.
Whois Server: whois.moniker.com
Referral URL: http://www.moniker.com
Name Server: NS1.EQHOSTING.COM
Name Server: NS2.EQHOSTING.COM
Status: clientDeleteProhibited
Status: clientTransferProhibited
Status: clientUpdateProhibited
Updated Date: 09-may-2012
Creation Date: 27-may-2011
Expiration Date: 27-may-2013

Since we started the company in 1997, Shop Ready has been based in London and California.

Registrant info sets off some red flags too. It's not registered in a company name, but in an individual's name. The name Ibu Nkita (the email address) is a Nigerian name that is implicated in several scams.
Registrant [3018222]:
Peter Nkita [email protected]
4039 Gateway Ct

Searching the Uk address shows no business by that name at that address, and the phone numbers are not real numbers - they are redirect numbers, frequently used by scammers pretending to be in UK when they are not.
WINCHESTER HOUSE 1 GREAT WINCHESTER STREET
LONDON EC2N 2DB
Company No. 03313976
+44-8712846782 ?
+44-702-4035791?

The US address:

+1-704-457-9046?
+1-213-799-0030?
+1-347-514-7366?

Again, no business by that name at the listed address. The phone numbers are simply bizarre--a Level 3 number which is most likely a VPN number, a cellphone in New York, and an LA number. Hayward is over 350 miles from LA. A business in Hayward would have a Hayward phone number.

There is also another website, smartgadgetlimited.com, created last month, with a strangely familiar "about us" writeup.

Also on the payment page, the site states that Paypal takes 5-6 business days, which is wrong. If sufficient money is in the PayPal account, payment is immediate. What's worse, it explains how to pay by Western Union. I say it's a scam.

To be more sure, could you post the email you received, with headers? Probably the wording or clues in the headers will prove that it's a scam. And for us site killers to kill it, we need evidence of scam, which may be in the emails or the transcript of the chat.

I'm sorry to say it is a scam.

I emailed from an untraceble email account asking if I can pay with paypal and got this response.

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us

Please note paypal payment is subjected to manual verification for fraud checks and this normally takes 7-10days thereafter your order would be shipped. Or you can make use of another payment method

For further questions please contact me

I would bet the farm the next email will tell me I can pay with Western Union.

I checked the header and it resolves to Nigeria.

They say PayPal takes 7 to 10 days so they can get the money sent to a bank account withdraw the money before PayPal can reverse the charges.

I would call PayPal ASAP and see if they can cancel the transaction.

The whois information of the site is consistent with a scam. Do you have evidence of an actual or attempted scam by that website?

ETA: One of us elicited an email from the site. The email came from Nigeria. The website says that payment methods include Western Union. Phone numbers on the site do not match the claimed locations. It is a scam, and it has been reported to the hosters (it jumped host), nameserver, and registrar for fraud.
