Darn, just when I get my hopes up of being able to sell off my inventory in one fell swoop...

A follow-up e-mail asked for a large order (more than I have), and I thought, he would save money by engaging his own shipper instead of UPS for all the inventory I have. Unfortunately Googling shows this to be a common wording of a scam solicitation wherein the phrase in parentheses is just replaced by names of various goods. This is not the first time I've gotten solicitations like this, but it is the first time the ostensible buyer has apparently done enough research to get the type of goods I have approximately right -- not exactly, but the way some people might conceivably refer to my product.

From what turned up in the Google search, this is the type of swindle where the seller has to pay for the ostensible buyer's private shipping company, who may actually show up to pick up the goods and then simply dump them somewhere, while the buyer's payment turns out to be forged. Or, not as costly all around, the shipper simply never shows up but has taken payment in advance.

Strange extra "To:" line above. Per procedure here, I've stripped the references to my e-mail address. Meanwhile, "[email protected]" I guess to be a cute way of saying, "swimming pool of treated water"! So I guess if I got a little laugh out of it, it's better than nothing.
