Hi i just wanted to share my experience with you all and if this is in the wrong forum please feel free to move it.
I was in contact with a person who called themselves Maggie Reid e-mail "[email protected]" (because its a female name i will be using she and her when talking about this person.) I received an e-mail from her telling me she had seen my posting on yardsellr.com for my 1995 Saturn sl2 that i have for sale for $1300.00 obo She told me that she would be paying me via Paypal and that she was buying the car for her dad.(RED FLAG #1)
At first i didn't feel comfortable with this and attempted to call her out on it and told her i thought this was a scam. Now this is when she e-mailed me back and said "are you saying i am a scam" normally scammers don't do that. Once they think they have been caught they normally delete everything and move onto the next person to scam, new name etc.. which is why i decided to continue and see exactly what was going to happen i appologised and said i guess i was wrong and asked her to continue with the deal. I wanted to confirm that she would be sending me via Paypal $1300 and she wrote back and said shes offering $1400.00 (RED FLAG NUMBER 2)
So now i know this is for sure a scam and i am board so i decided to mess with her a little bit and agreed to that. She then told me that she was going to be sending an extra $600 to me for me to send to her shipping company via western union. (RED FLAG #3)
Today she wrote me late and said she want sending the money on paypal right as we spoke and to let her know when i got the confirmation e-mail from paypal. Here is what one of those looks like

So now she is telling me she believes in god and is a good christian woman and wouldn't scam me out of my money and i don't have $600 to send... this is why i am selling my car in the first place.. Ugh so just be careful if someone named Maggie Reid or Kimberly writes you asking to buy your car. Delete it!
God bless and be safe out there..
