This scammer is using [email protected] (Josy Murphy Morgan) as an alias, and the fake PayPal mail is sent from: [email protected].

This time the scammer is looking to actually steal the hair from you with confidence tricks and fake PayPal mails. The hair can then be anonymously re-sold at a 100% profit.

This is the opening mail received as if from a genuine buyer:

"hi do you still have this hair for sale and let me know the last
price.

Regards."

This is the cover story about his wife being in hospital:

Okay,
I am still willing to purchase this hair urgently,Hope is still in
excellent condition,i really want to purchase it with short period of
time My form of payment would be via Pay pal. you can read on how to
sign up with pay pal at http://www.paypal.com and get back to me
with your pay pal name and email address to send the money once you
sign up.I am going to Add additional $100 to cover the shipping cost
via DHL or international regular posting delivery to my wife hospital
place in Nigeria 23401.await to hear from you soonest so that i can
make the payment asap
Thanks,
Murphy.

Then there follows a faked PayPal mail from [email protected], claiming that your money is being held until you prove that you have paid the courier.

Note: The email did NOT originate from PayPal.

PayPal is an online money transfer service and would never use a competing money transfer service to receive a payment.

PayPal does not have an escrow service and does not hold payments for buyer/seller protection.

Transaction ID: 6D694274EY338930K

Important Note:
This PayPal payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been "APPROVED" but will remain PENDING until the shipment tracking number is sent to our customer service for shipment verification so as to secure both the buyer and the seller.

Below are the necessary information requested before your account will be credited.

1 : Make sure you ship the Hair to the buyer's address below immediately you recieve the approved confirmation.
2 : Make sure the shipment tracking number is been sent to our customer service at ([email protected])

Then there is a second mail from fake PayPal to remind you to send the hair before you receive payment:

Then the scammer follows up with this encouragement to send the hair before receiving payment:

So i would want you to ship the hair today via poster mail (USPS poster regular mail) and below is the shipping address :

This scammer has had a change of plan, apparentley some fake or stolen checks have come his way and so he now wants to make payment with them:

Hello [XXXXXXXX] am very sorry for the delay of the payment i just check very well and i think am having a problem with my paypal account.

please provide your full name and home address so that i can ask my secretary to issue out a check in your name i will be waiting to have this details so that the payment can be send to you.

Regards.

Note how he references "my secretary", what would follow will be stolen or faked company checks.

Don't be caught out trying to cash one, it might seem to clear at first, but the check would ultimately turn out to be false, and you would be liable for any funds drawn on it, not to mention the charges of conspiracy to defraud that the bank could lay at your door.
