It's a scam; I can tell by the way he writes. He'll send you a fake PayPal transfer message which includes the shipper's fee, then ask you to send the shipper's fee by Western Union or ship the guitar. In his make-believe world, once you send the guitar or the fee, the payment will accrue to your account, but that won't happen.

I encountered the same thing on Craig's List. Same message, name, and e-mail address. This was for an ATV that can't be shipped. No one would buy an ATV sight unseen. This is my first time trying to sell on Craig's List. As with everything, you have to be on your guard 24/7. Thanks guys!

Received this exact sentence from "[email protected]" with the reply-to being the same "[email protected]" address.

A person with a Bellsouth address inquiring about sofabed up north? Moran.

Check the headers. Most likely the email came from Africa, not anywhere in BellSouth territory. Or possibly someone in BellSouth territory has a computer running spamware. The writing looks African, not Carolinian.
