Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

This person, apparently from Nigeria, send paypal scam e-mails stating a payment was made to try to get you send a package.

Here is the e-mail:

Thank You For Using PayPal! we are contacting you regarding the e-mail sent to us by Sarah Shovkonski concerning the merchandise she is buying from you. She wrote to us at our customer care that she need's security concerning this transaction, due to frauds going on the internet using PayPal, We will like you to comply with all measures taken on this transaction for security purpose. We assure you that your buyer(Sarah Shovkonski) is a verified PayPal user and we will send you the payment receipt after she has transferred the funds into your PayPal account to let you know as soon as the payment is made.

If you are new to PayPal we want to assure you that everything is in order and therefore we are giving you the maximum assurance that we will monitor the transaction with all our best and we will handle the processing separately to avoid any form of fraudulent act between the buyer and the seller. Due to this we want you to know that we will give you the steps to follow in the PayPal payment receipts that will be sent into your PayPal e-mail address in order for you to get your funds cleared after your buyer has sent the funds into your PayPal account.

You are 100% safe and covered by PayPal Insurance Policy given by the Board of Directors. Sarah Shovkonski is one of our good client and we assured you that you are well protected and covered doing this on her behalf .

PayPal guaranteed you that you are well protected and covered by our insurance policy and to make you sure that every process done on her behalf by you is well known to us and that we will be responsible for any circumstances that happens during the process. Hello and welcome to Scamwarners kenaih.

Thanks for post the fake Paypal emails and the fake Paypal email address. What email address did the scammer use initially to contact you or was it by text? Could you please post them also. It will help when others do a search on the internet to find your warning.

I was contacted via craiglist, so I don't know the e-mail address he/she used originally, since it's all forwards from craiglist servers ( that's their mechanism to avoid spam to the buyers and sellers).

There is a hungarian site where it seems they mention this person in one of the posts though..

I then got another fake paypal e-mail with a note at the end and the following address: [email protected]

Of course, there is no such payment, just the fake paypal payments e-mails that were sent.
