Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply. My name is Jessica Scott,i believe my
son sent you a text message to email me for the sale. I would like to
know the lowest price for it and i want you to get back to me with
more pictures and its current condition because i can=92t come over to
inspect it. I am buying it for my Son that is studying and working in
Qatar.
I work at sea as i am Oil Rig Sub Sea Engineer for Petronas here in
Malaysia and due to the nature of my work, phone calls is restricted,i
can only communicate via email with my Ipad. My Son will be very happy
if i am able to purchase it from you because this is what he want and
chose from all the AD.
You need not worry yourself about how it will get to him there in
Qatar as i have a contact of shipping company there that will be
handling the pick up and all the paper work.

I find it weird why would anyone buys a car in Malaysia and send it to Qatar? I've personally stayed in Qatar and there is two HUGE reasons that raised a RED FLAG

1) Qatar's car prices are WAYYYYY cheaper than Malaysia - the amount she is paying can buy her a brand new Honda!
2) Qatar is left hand drive whilst Malaysian car is right hand drive

Nonetheless, I sent her more pictures thinking she is a nice lady who wanna buy her son a Christmas present.. within moments she replied..

Thanks for the pictures and information,It was a great help.I am
really interested in buying it and i want to go ahead with the
purchase,i am pleased with your asking price but i can only conclude
the transaction via PayPal for our own protection.PayPal act as a
neutral third party,it is safe, secure and reliable.
I insisted on PayPal as my mode of payment because that is the only
process that is convenient for me to pay from my PayPal account as i
have my bank account linked to it. I won't be able to make payment by
cash, cheque or bank to bank transfer because i am currently offshore.

PayPal is easier, secure and the best online transfer of sending or
receiving money into bank account via PayPal account. All you need to
do is register an account with PayPal using your credit card(your card
or bank details are never seen by the seller or merchant,so your
financial information is safe).
It is very easy to set up,it only takes few minutes and any money
transfer into your PayPal account goes through into your bank account.
After you have set up a PayPal account, all i needed is just the full
name with the email address of your PayPal account for the transfer.
For more information visit http://www.paypal.com

It is after you have received the payment in your bank account and
cleared before the shipping agent will come for the pick up at your
given time, date and location and he will handle all the necessary
paper work for it (Transfer of Ownership papers).

i am ready to pay you via PayPal as mentioned, give me your PayPal details which is your PayPal email
address with the full name on the PayPal account so that i can
transfer the fund right away.

I proceeded to register for PayPal account but instead of sending her the email address, I clicked on "Request Money - Create An Invoice" and sent the invoice to her via PayPal.

Later only I realised I've done something that she didn't expect.. Cause she will have most likely to click on the Pay thru PayPal in her email for her transaction to be done. She can't pay extra as well..

Within moments she replied..

Okay,i got the details and i will transfer the money for the price of
it inclusive with the shipping fees for the shipment.
I will email you as soon as i transfer the money by tomorrow morning.

I had a strong hunch something isn't right.. Then I began my investigation firstly via LinkedIn, Google, friends from Petronas, importation processes in Qatar and the exportation process to Qatar, then bumped into this site which :yikes: CONFIRMED my suspicion.

I thank God for this website and all the good people who are sharing their experiences that will make this world a better place #faithinhumanityrestored

Welcome to Scamwarners v3nomous,

In this scam the scammer is NOT interested in your car. He wants to steal your money. No one will ever come to pick up the vehicle. It is all a scam with the scammer playing all roles. The scammer is using a free email address and a fake name.

The scammer wanted to send you a fake Paypal payment. He has a fake Paypal address from a free email provider. The payment would look real. Its a screen shot of a fake payment. He then will instruct you to pay a mover, shipper or agent. The fake Paypal email from the scammer would say that your Paypal funds will be released when you send the scammer (mover, agent or shipper) money via Western Union or Money Gram. In reality Paypal would never hold your funds.

Log into Paypal directly without any links to check for monies received or call Paypal directly from the number on their site.

If you are selling electronics, Cell phones or computers then the scammer is trying to steal your "item". Your fake funds will be released when you send the scammer a scan copy of a receipt showing you mailed your item.

This same scam works with fake check and money orders. You and your bank will think they are real. After you cash the fake check. Days or weeks later your bank will inform you of the fraud. Your bank will have you repay the monies. Possibly close your account for fraud and report you to Law Enforcement.

The best thing to do is to sell in person face to face in a public place.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

Oh my god, thank you v3nomous for sharing this. I stumbled upon an email like this also. You sure know how excited I am when someone said that they are interested in buying my car, but turn to be, they are scammers. :(

I did reply her, and forward the email to my husband and immediately my husband call me to stop contacting her as he afraid the woman is a scammer. I said, "No lah, she just want to buy a nice car for his son." He laughed and answered, "Do you know that the car price in Qatar is way cheaper than Malaysia. Why she want to go through all the hassle on the shipping and everything?". However, I just want to tell you how thankful I am for you effort in alerting other peoples. And if you are a Chinese, Xin Nian Kuai Le! :)

Below is my email thread with her:
You are the seller, tell me your lowest price for it and I will be looking forward to the pictures

Hi Mrs Scott,

My I know how much are you willing to offer for the car? And what is your current location right now in Malaysia? I will get back to you with more pictures of the car on Monday, because I'm in hometown right now. Also, if we manage to seal the deal, how are you going to make the payment, will it be by cash or loan with other bank?
