What is the scammer's email address? Other victims may be searching for it.

Please stop communicating with the scammer immediately. Do not tell him why. Just stop. You are dealing with a hardened criminal. He is West African but he may know someone in the USA or even himself be in the USA. If you piss him off, he would not think twice about killing you.

Trust us, we can recognize Western Africa's writing. The email does matter to others that are wondering if this guy is a scammer. His address will now show up in search engines when people search for it.

Thanks for posting this scam.

This is fascinating! We were trying to sell a tenor sax locally, so were very surprised to be contacted by someone claiming to be in Colorado. The messages we received were word for word exactly like yours! Even down to the $1750 (extra 750 for shipping!) and the supposed shipping agent. All we have to do is send her 750 and she will release the money. Ha! Followed up with long text messages that got progressively aggressive (we were out of town and told her we would be so could not move quickly). Emailed back and told her we felt we were being scammed and asked not to be contacted again. She replied with "Lol" (really) and said she was reporting us to the authorities for scamming! BTW-sounded at first like someone trying to sound Asian, but English improved when caught! Did you report any of this, either to paypal or to local law enforcement internet fraud folks?

PS- this all occurred on 10/31 and 11/1.

Hoosierbaby, thanks for the post and welcome to scamwarners. Glad you avoided the scam entirely. :=) :oh-joy:

If they did indeed impersonate paypal, you would do others good to forward their fraudulent letters (with the complete headers) to [email protected], and let them investigate.

Please post the complete headers of the email(s) you received, but remove your personal information before you post them. If the IP address(es) do originate in the USA, you can report it to the IC3 https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx . Please see the link at the bottom of my post if you don't know how to retrieve the complete headers from emails.

If I understand you correctly, no crime was actually committed because you avoided it, therefore there is no reason to report it to your local PD. They have enough work with crimes, they don't usually bother with "almost" crimes. But if you want to call and ask them if they will make a report anyhow, it can't hurt to do that.

GUYS ! the end of the story, after the scammer refuse to send me $200 dollars to complete the $750 to his pickup agent, he answer " Lol, no problem just send the $550 u can send the rest later.."
i know there is no way to make understand this guys,, now he sent me this letter "FBI " letter, hahah just read, they just dont give up easy,, you are right guys, the better option here is just ignore this mother..rs,, emails,

here is the "FBI " letter

HAHAHa those scammers piece of shi... are really corrupt..and stupid at the same time...
have a nice day guys!

Thank you HillBilly! We received the same threatening "FBI" email. I have a total of 3 supposed PayPal emails that I have forwarded to [email protected]. They have confirmed this is a phishing scam. I checked for the email addresses but they were not found-no big surprise there. For future reference if anybody wants to know, the scammer identifies herself as Joy Fruth. She represents herself as being in the Army at Cheyenne Mountain (NORAD). What a piece of crap!! The email she used was [email protected], and the so called paypal letters came from paypal.paymentalert@ymail.
As a side note, when I googled Joy Fruth, I found a young woman who works for a healthcare organization in LA. I sure hope that her ID is safe, and that her character is unassailed by this scammer!
by MaxChew Thu Nov 20, 2014 3:42 pm
LOL! This guy is at it again.... Just received a text msg for a musical instrument I am selling on CL from this same email:
+++++++++++++++++++++
Email Joy at [email protected] your firm price ......

++++++++++++++++++++
what a whoozie! :laugh-s:
by RaySoul Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:56 am
This is just FABULOUS! LOL. I've got the same guy right now(joy fruth [email protected]). He sure does get around! All the same rhetoric, he's just copy/pasting it! Lol

As soon as he sent me something about Western Union(clever, he switches up from MoneyGram. Lol), I knew he was full of it, but decided to be civil. I sent him this:

"I have received NO PAYMENT notification from my ACTUAL Paypal address. I am a preferred customer at Paypal, I am NOT NEW. Further, I have no intention of traveling to WU, in ANY event. You should cancel your payments, so your funds can be refunded. Thanx..."

But, this fuqhead had the nerve to express righteous indignation with me! He sent me this:

"just wanna let you know i have reported you to the authorities for scam attempt."

Accompanied by a fake FBI webpage. Complete with the exact same grammatically incorrect english used in his own emails. LOL! So, to completely scare the s*it out of him I responded:

"AND JUST SO YOU KNOW, WHEREVER AND WHOEVER YOU ARE, I CAN FIND YOU IN 48 HOURS OR LESS. YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE WRONG PERSON, AND THIS IS NOT A GAME YOU WANT TO PLAY. FRAUD IS VERY SERIOUS. CONSIDER YOUR NEXT MOVE VERY CAREFULLY..."

Needless to say, I've not heard back. It was then that I put "434 T kane blvd moving land" into the Google search engine, and found you guys! Lol. Also, his "Paypalpayment" address comes from his own ymail address(site). I think I am going to forward his details over there to have him shut down. This is really hilarious. I feel like I'm part of a special club now. Lol...
by vonpaso xlura Fri Nov 21, 2014 3:22 pm
Please do not shut down Ymail or Gmail addresses or other free email addresses. The scammers will just create new addresses and make the warnings worthless. Also don't tell the scammer that you know he's a scammer.
