It looks like a scam, my thought is that someone is using the name of the Village cake shop, although I notice they haven't asked you for any money yet?

I doubt that any village cake and sandwich shop would be paying the amount quoted either.

Have they asked you to contact a Visa or Immigration Lawyer yet?

It would seem to me that there would be plenty of unemployed folks living in London to hire, right? So why would these ads read that no walk-in job applicants will be entertained?

So there's the part where you have to pay. After being sucked in by the promise of a well paying job with a generous company, you only have to pay for the Work Permit fee. Definitely a scam.

For others reading this thread who are unsure, I'll take it a step further and say it outright. It is a scam.

-As John has indicated, the pay and benefits are way too high.
-As Helen also indicated, the "work permit" statement points us to where this scammer is going to go.
-A quick search of companies house shows them listed as a small business (to qualify as small, they must have fewer than 50 employees). It is extremely unlikely that a company that size would be hiring 10 overseas workers at once.
-Plus a little more searching shows that this is a bakery/sandwich shop, not a factory.
Looking at the photo on google maps, and the Manta business summary both support this..

So, the scammers are using the name of a bakery, but claiming it is a factory. Right there we have confirmed it is a scam.

Then, let's look at immigration laws.

First of all, these scammers are actively recruiting in Philippines, but there is no licensed agency involved, which is the law.

These agencies have been conferred these awards in recognition of their outstanding and exemplary performance in the field of overseas employment and for their vital role in uplifting the quality of life of millions of Filipinos by providing them gainful overseas employment

On the UK side:
UK currently allows work visas for certain categories of SKILLED workers. The general migrant worker category is closed. What this means is that general factory jobs, clerical work, and most service positions like waiter, etc. CANNOT be offered to people outside EU. A legitimate hiring company would know this, and would NOT be trying to recruit people they cannot legally offer a job.

It is best to cut off all contact with these scammers.

Since I am a Herefordshire lad and know Bromyard very well I can confirm no local firm would seek overseas workers. There are plenty already in the area from the FSU countries. Getting work is hard in the area, however the UK does have it's employment agency in the form of JobcentrePlus which is a Government Department. Local employment needs would be directed there, and there would be plenty of applicants. A small market town (Bromyard, Herefordshire is such a place) bakery will not be trawling the world for workers, and involving itself in the complexities of this. If you look at the finances the small firm is struggling to exist, when the accounts were filed last November it had about £350 in the bank. It is barely making the rent and council tax bill which is substantial. The graph shows a steady decline and I would wonder if in the next year it ceases trading.
Note the minimum UK wages.

There are currently three aged based national minimum wage rates and an apprentice rate, which are usually updated in October each year. The rates that apply from 1 October 2011 are as follows:
for workers aged 21 years or more: £6.08 per hour
for workers aged 18 to 20 inclusive: £4.98 per hour
for workers aged under 18 (but above compulsory school age): £3.68 per hour
for apprentices aged under 19: £2.60 per hour

The 3 staff are probably Husband and Wife (owners) who work from 3 am daily, to do the baking, and a school leaver doing the counter work in the day/£3.68 per hour.

It doesn't seem as if the fraud has been pulled off site yet. 4 jobs are still advertised. The firm has a Unique name as a Limited Company. A small business probably run by family/Husband ,wife, in Bromyard, Herefordshire only . The UK tax system allows a company to pay wages to the owners working in the business. For example owners wife can be paid wages even if she only answers the phone at home, and she can be put on the books as working full time. There are advantages taxwise in doing so.
It is a legit firm. Someone has stolen their name to use in the fraud. I mark in red a great big flag, showing that the people placing the ad know nothing of the UK education system. I won't educate scammers and say more than it is different to the USA system quoted there.
