Sadly, I have to tell you it's another scam.

These are free email addresses by mail.com. Once again, a legitimate business would not be using it.

Note: All expenses which you may incur during the processing of your One Year US Employment Visa with AER Immigration Chambers will be fully reimburse/refund back to you before your fly down to the States

The scammer is telling you with this statement that you will be asked to send money to the "AER Immigration Chambers"

As you already suspect milliemitch, it's another scam.

The style of writing is that of a West African scammer and not a UK doctor and you don't apply for a visa in the way he has suggested. Undoubtedly that mail address will lead you straight back to him, or an associate, who will eventually get round to asking you for imaginary fees and costs.

The consultant.com is a free e-mail address that not even a proper travel company would use, but in any case, you don't apply for a UK visa through a travel company. Any money you pay out will go straight into the pocket of a scammer. It's very unlikely you'll be offered a bank account in the name of the travel company to pay the fees into, but by then they'll have hoped to have made you dizzy with fabulous enticements and made up official procedures, they'll hope you won't notice.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

Welcome to Scamwarners. That's a typical au-pair scam, and I'm glad you didn't fall for it. Consultant.com is a free mail.com address that I've never seen anyone but scammers use.
Can you add the email address used by the scammer please.

Welcome to Scamwarners.
It's certainly a scam, and a typical example of the au-pair scam. The English isn't good, not bad for a second language, but certainly not written by an American doctor.

I have seen emails from the scammer calling themselves 'Mrs Marie Boston', and the headers show these IP addresses:

41.138.177.61 - Nigeria
41.138.179.7 – Lagos, Nigeria

This proves that the emails were not sent from the USA, but from Nigeria.

''Mrs Marie Boston' also uses the email address: [email protected]

Hello Sabaw, Welcome to Scamwarners.

Yes, that is a scam, great job on spotting it! :D The payment stage is with the travel agency, which will let you pay for documents and visa you need to travel to the United Kingdom. Their email adress is just a free mail provider adress - doesn't look too professional, does it? (Note: them having a professional adress certainly is NO guarantee you're dealing with a legitimate agency!) I also note some spelling errors and grammatical structures we see alot with mails coming from West Africa.

Just delete the mails and ignore any future requests from them :)

Another scam, I'm afraid. The English is a dead giveaway and some of the exact same phrases have been used before.

The area codes suggests the phone number is a K7 number. Again this is a free number (in this case a voicemail number) that can be used by someone outside of the US.

Of course this scammer doesn't know the difference between the state of Washington and Washington DC (which are two very different places)--he claims to be in Washington DC but the phone number goes to the state of Washington, thousands of miles away!
