This is Derek Niegemann. The “real” Derek Niegemann. Someone told me about your website and that I was, at one point, the topic of discussion. In reading the complaints on your site, I can tell you that I am guilty of only a very small part of this of this, and the scams outlined herein are not my doing. I know Stacey and owe her money, but have never met anyone else plagued by these financial scams. My name is being used by someone other than myself. Two names of individuals that might be behind this are Donald White and/or David Mark. These two names were given me by the people that set me up as the victim of similar scams. One of the scams also appealed to me as a Veteran, and I was pulled in that way.
I am a former English teacher. There is a reason that I taught English. It is because I have very poor mathematic, financial and computer skills. Teaching math or science was out. I can assure you that I wouldn’t know where to begin to set up a financial scam. And, it is my stupidity in this regard that led to my being a victim. I was, as I said, a victim of two online scams which is where they may have obtained my name. I was also the victim of identity theft a few years ago, separate from my name being used herein, after the death of my life-partner of 28 years.
Another problem I incurred was through email. Several people on my former computer contact list received emails from whom they thought was me soliciting money. This created many hard feelings with the people contacted. Some of them I have known for many years. My father and his girlfriend were involved with my earlier identity theft. And, I suspect that they were also involved with the emails as well. This is still being looked into. The emails actually had portions of emails I did send, cut and pasted into a separate cohesive format, with additional text added. I, at one time, had a laptop computer and a home computer, both of which I got rid of sometime ago. The home computer was given to my mother when I bought a newer one. I later sold the newer computer when I hit financial hardship. The older computer, given my mother, ended up in my fathers hands following their divorce. I haven’t owned a computer of my own for some time now. I am writing this on a borrowed computer.
Depending on who you talk with, I have people that want to link me to everything from 9-11 to the Jack the Ripper murders, but I assure you that I am a fellow victim in the scams using my name. For over thirty years I had a successful career with a strong credit history and a unblemished reputation. I am now unemployed, without a bank account or any personal assets as a result of all of this. Now I cant’ even say “Well, at least I have my good name”.
