I want male or female nanny/caregiver who will be take good care of my two loverly kids and as well as my home because i only left my kids at home with thier grandmother after my lovely wife die in car accident last year 20th june,2009. And I have an accomodation room for them that would be taking care of them in my house.

So i will like you to know that I will be paying you 2,300 BRITISH POUNDS for every month and weekly allowance of 250 POUNDS as per our united kingdom govt approved minimum wages for newly employees and i will also be responsible for some of the money for your traveling documents according to our British immigration policy state that as your employer that i will be responsible for your visa fee, flight fee and your free accomodation and you will only be responsible for your processing fee of certificate of sponsorship as our govt approved it as your criteria for your papers approval in gaining your entrance here for work.

And your working hour is just 8 hours per day and your responsibility in my house is just to take care of my daughters,taking them on shopping, taking them to where the school bus will pick them up from which is just 2 km ahead from home. And also you have a private room bathroom toilet and also if you wish to be having free period from 5 pm to 6 pm are acceptable...

So i will like you to get back to me if you are interested in being my nanny for my Kids.

Like the others, I also got this mail last Friday and I was happily replied to this scammer and referred my 3 siblings for the posts. In less than 24 hours, I got a call from "Robert" and we proceeded to chat online by yahoo. For everyone, this was how I started to doubt:
1. He says he is from UK but his English is terrible.
2. He says he is British but his accent is very AFRICAN.
3. I asked him to invite me to his webcam he apologized and instead offered to send me his pictures with his family.
5. When I saw the pictures they all look very English looking but how come is accent is African!
6. When I asked where he got my email, he said he got it from a recruitment database and I told him I have never registered to any recruitment website. He started to panic to give me an answer.
7. Finally, I googled his name and got me to this scamwarners website.
To my surprise, I saw the vry same emals I got from him!
Today he called me again, I couldn't decline as there was no caller ID showing. I told him never to call me again and that I have reported him to the local police. He immediately hanged up.

I'm glad that you realised that this is a scam; otherwise your siblings could have lost a lot of money to this scammer.

As well as the things you spotted as being wrong, another 'clue' is in his telephone number. A telephone number which begins +4470 is not a normal UK telephone number - it is a 'redirect' number, which redirects all calls to a mobile phone, almost anywhere in the world - including to Africa.

Thank you for posting the scammer's emails here: they will help to alert and warn other people who are also targeted by this scam.
