Dear ,

I hope your week is moving well. After discussing your employment with my wife, we have decided that you match our requirements so please find the Contract Letter that is approved by the UK Home Office. I would like to receive the phone number of family members as soon as you can send it to me or you call me "anytime" if they would like to speak with me.

I received approval from the UK Home Office today to employ you, I have attached the approved contract letter issued me for your review. I need to apply now for Certificate of Eligibility (COE-UKIMG2009) as UK Home Office instructed me for our application to be quickly considered, as that is important to prove that I am sponsoring your travel down to the UK and to prove that you are eligible to take up job position in UK.

You need to sign the contract after going through it and send via E-mail a scanned copy indicating your travel date and current location (For Flight Booking which I have paid for) , to the staff at UK Home Office in charge of my application for the Certificate of Eligibility for their records and advice to us:

Home Office, UK Boarder Agency,
PO Box 3468, Sheffield ,
S3 8WA,
Contact Person, Jenifer Sheen.
United Kingdom
E mail: [email protected]

On receipt of the Form COE-UKIMG2009 by me, I shall courier it to you with hard contract copies, prepaid flight tickets and any accompanying permit documents to enable you receive traveling documents.

Do not hesitate to sign and send a scanned copy of the Contract Letter to the UK HOME OFFICE via their E-mail address above.

Note: make sure that you indicate your current location, nationality and desired date of departure.

Have a blissful day ahead and God bless you as you come.

Respectfully,

For the family.

Unfortunately, this is a scam.

The email address for the "boarder office" (people who work for the government also usually know how to spell their own department names) is a fake created in March of this year.

There is also no such thing as certificate COE-UKIMG2009, though if you google it, you will find other scams using the same phony certificate.

Can you please post the name, email address, and maybe a header from this scammer's emails?

I will delete your other post so we can keep all the replies in one place, but I noticed you posted the following phone numbers in the other topic.

+44-704-571-7571 +44-702-403-7798.

Any phone number that starts with 44-70 is a redirect phone number that is automatically forwarded to a phone virtually anywhere in the world. These numbers are frequently used by scammers pretending to be in UK. If you see a phone number starting with 44-70, it's a scam.

Don't worry - it'll be along shortly.

It's like a magic trick, and the longer they take to show what they're really after, the more likely you'll have been dazzled and confused by all the detail they've already told you. They want to make it look like an opportunity that's too good to miss, which it is, but only for them to get your money in their pocket, and you won't be their only intended vistim.

It is an absolute lie for the person contacting you to suggest that any UK person can apply for permission for a non-UK citizen to obtain a work visa, but it's all a complete lie and scam from top to bottom.

I have chosen you now and will tell the other candidates not to worry because i like your profile better. I pray to God and hope i made the right choice and will not be disappointed. They would assist you in getting your visa in no time because they work with the State department. They will let you know what the requirements are and the expenses. Their email is ([email protected]). Let them know you are from Mrs. Westwood. I admire your qualities a lot and would love you to be a part of the family soon. I am a very busy person so have no time to chat this week. I am going for a business summit tomorrow in Seattle so can tell my lawyer to call you if you are okay with that.

Reply soon and let me know what they say.

Kind Regards and God Bless,

is there such an agency like locate travel agency?

Definite scam.

The general rule is that you have to apply for a visa in person at the embassy in your own country.
If they come up with an obscure travel agency that offers to arrange the visa, it's very likely a scam, especially if the agency has a yahoo or gmail e-mail address.
Proper travel agencies have their own internet domain with corresponding e-mail addresses. But even then, you have to be careful.
by GomerPyle Tue Aug 03, 2010 6:29 am
I have no doubt that it is also a scam.

What type of visa are they talking about ? - and I don't mean 'au pair visa'. They have different designation references, and they each have different qualifying criteria, one of which specifies that it must be arranged through a vey restricted list of sponsoring organisations, which doesn't include any travel agent.

I don't want to post any details or links here, otherwise scammers will just be able to make future scams appear more realistic.

If their answer to the question 'What type of visa ?' is 'Au pair visa' then they are clueless scammers whose only interest is your cousin's money - not getting her a visa.

Yes, both of those emails are also scams.

It's really not you--scammers are so active on au pair forums these days, looking for new victims, that it is not uncommon to get 10 or more scam emails for every real email.

Any job offer that involves you sending money to anyone--whether it is for visas, plane tickets, or other fees, most likely a scam. Depending on the country you are going to, you may need a visa or permit, and it may cost money--but you should not be sending that money to your "employers" or anyone they connect you with.

Scammers delay asking for money until as late as possible so that they have a chance to convince you before they make a play to get a hold of your cash. The 'foreplay' consists of them trying to make themselves appear official by asking lots of questions and asking for documents. Any who ask for a photocopy of your passport are scammers. It's a quick way to reach a decision and avoid wasting your time.

A photocopy of a passport is of no use to the proper authorities, which is why you have to apply for a visa in your home country to the foreign Embassy, or their appointed agents. The only people who think that a photocopy of a passport is a useful form of ID are scammers. All modern UK passports contain a computer chip, as do the passports of many other countries, so photocopying them is a complete waste of time.

The whole purpose of the scammer is to offer you something they know you seek desperately, and they rely on you overlooking their errors to achieve your dream.
