Welcome to Scamwarners.
That's a scam. You may well need a CRB check, but you certainly don't need a lawyer to get one.
Phone nu  mber (USA): +1 650 515 3727 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +1 650 515 3727 end_of_the_skype_highlighting

Good of the scammer to tell you he isn't using landlines.
The website is fake, and includes the fake postal address
88 Essex Street, Manchester, WC2R 3JF, UK

Hi!
I got the same email from the "Jasper family" on this morning:

We want you to join our family soon as indicated in the previous email so you have to contact my lawyer for necessary legal arrangement.

When I saw the lawyer's website ( it is really rubbish, everyone can make a website for free like that) and when Dave Jasper (Jude's surgeon father) wrote methat I have to pay, I was laughing.
Dont believe him!!! When I tol him not to pay his lawyer because I dont need work permit in EU, ha sent the following message:

"I know that you are a member of EU and you do not need a Visa but
you have to contact the lawyer for all necessary legal documents
needed for the job application as aupair in UK and in my family like
the CRB check up and the contract documents.
However, i understand that the charges of the company might be much
for you so i volunteer to help you pay part of the fee. hence, let me
know the amount you can afford to pay and i will help you to pay the
rest. I cannot pay all your travel expenses due to my previous
experience aupairs in the past whom i paid all her travel expenses and
never to come to my family for the job. So, you have to pay part of
the fee so that i can be rest assured that you will come for the job.
Hope to hear from you soonest possible.
Regards"

HAHAHA!!!! :laugh-s: In the first email he offered me 8 ? per hour, accomodation, mobile phone, weekly bus ticket... He said hi is a surgeon, his wife is in the USA woking on a projekt, they live in London balblabla... Can you imagine that the au pairs/ nannies won't go after getting an offer of a well paid job? :=)

I got an e-mail from "Niko Durela" in response to an ad for a female roommate. Some of the things that "she" said didn't add up plus "she" claimed that I couldn't call her because she had a problem with her cell phone. That was a red flag! Plus she seemed WAY too eager to send me a check for $1100 to secure the apartment.

I did a background search on her name and found nothing, then did a reverse e-mail search on the e-mail address. BE CAREFUL ladies, as this person HAS set up a profile on a website called TAGGED that appears real, with a picture of a woman on it. However there was a slightly different name on the profile and a different age than what "she" had told me, so this set off red flags again. Finally I just googled the name Niko Durela and found this site.

DO NOT believe anything this person says and do not give out any information. I, unfortunately, had already given out my phone number, but nothing else.

Dear Sir Dave Jasper,

Good day to you, sir! I have received your email that you are looking for an au pair who will take care of your child. I am very glad that you chose me as one of your au pair. I am really interested to be your au pair and I am very happy to be part of your family. I am a Filipina and Filipinas are good in taking care of children. Since I graduated as a nursing assistant, I have lots of child care experience before. I took good care of my cousins' children. I really love kids. I enjoy playing with them, teaching them to some things that can motivate and develop them. I also know some household chores because here in the Philippines, we were taught by our parents to be responsible. My english is good and I am fluent in speaking that language. I also knew some basic Dutch words. By the way, Sir, attached to this email is my resume and my latest picture. I have also added some of my pictures with my cousins’ children. They are the children that I took good care of before.

Hoping to meet and see you soon. Thank you very much, Sir.

Respectfully yours,
Me
Au Pair

and this is his reply...

Hi
We read your reply and once again we will like to repeat to you that we are looking for someone very friendly who is prepared to be part of our family and look after our child appropriately.
Your main task will be to care for our adorable kid, Jude. Occasionally you will do light household work like cleaning and ironing. You will take Jude to and from Kindergarten and also to play dates. He would be at nursery for 3 mornings per week at least in the beginning but this will be reviewed.
Jude is easy going and only grumpy when tired. At the same time he needs a lot of attention. Although most of the time he is calm but he can be tricky and he always needs someone to say no whenever he's wrong.
The kid will have his playroom in the house which will have a TV and toys and to keep him relax you will have to encourage him to watch TV i.e. cartoon and other kids Channel.
You will be working for 40 hours weekly and we hope to pay £14 hourly plus bus ticket worth £35 weekly and we will also provide you with a mobile phone with some inclusive minutes each month and the rest would be your responsibility. We also hope to provide you access to our cars if you have driving experience but not all the time.
We will like you to start in 2 to 3 weeks time if it is comfortable for you but if not kindly let us know the date you are available. So do inform us of when you hope to join us and we will also appreciate if you can send us your phone number if available.
Waiting to read from you.

Hi and welcome to Scamwarners. That is certainly a scam, and even if it was real, the UK is not accepting au-pairs from the Phillipines for some reason.
