Interesting.
Administrative Contact:
PCI DEALERS SCHOOL
920 S VALLEY VIEW BLVD
LAS VEGAS, NV 89107-4416
US
702 877 4724 fax: 702 361 5898
Record expires on 10-Dec-2010.
Record created on 10-Dec-1999

Because of the aol email address, my first thought was that it was someone falsely claiming to be from the school, but the website shows [email protected]. Odd, but there's nothing I can point to and say it's a scam. Which doesn't mean of course that you won't spend a lot of money, get the promised training, and won't find a job at the end of it (as the website warns).
How much is the fee for the Enrolment Agreement?

I would urge caution.

I know nothing about US immigration rules and regulations but I presume that you would be applying for your visa on the basis that you are attending a course to learn a skill, but you would need to check that it would then allow you to actually work in the US, otherwise you won't be gaining what you want.

Whether the gaming school is legitimate or not, if your visa doen't allow you to work after you've been on the course, you're laying out money for no purpose.

You'll also need to check that this school is going to be accepted as an accredited institution under US immigration law. Under UK law only certain establishments will be actually accepted and again, if they're not accepted, you've wasted your money.

The email address is clearly affiliated with the school, and the school has been online for over 10 years, so from that perspective it appears to be legitimate.

As the others have said, however, you need to make sure you have done your research regarding the school's placement rate and whether you can get a visa based on this training.

Before you send any money I'd find out what type of visa you're expected to apply for.

I suspect that the type of school you mention is not going to entitle you to qualify for a j-1 or j-2 visa, and even if it does you should note this.

Q: My J status expired and I am in the middle of my 30-day grace period staying in the US, can I apply to change to other nonimmigrant status at this stage?

A: No. The 30-day grace period is only for packing and leaving. Therefore, you cannot change to another nonimmigrant status within the 30 days.

This suggests that at the end of your course you'll be expected to return home and not be able to start work in the USA.

Hello ong
I'm not saying anything bad but please use caution.
Are you able to phone and ask someone like the Casino Dealers Academy or a Government department. Not living in the US makes it difficult to offer more advice.
I think the Casino Gaming Institute is on this number Phone: (609) 646-5122

Apart from the school fees I believe that US Immigration will require proof with your visa application that you have funds to support yourself during your stay and have taken out US health insurance so your outlay won't be small, but it will all be a waste of time if, at the end of the course, you just get shipped back to your homeland, as I don't believe that's your intention.

You must find out what visa these people expect you to be applying for, then we can advise what the implications are to you. There is no point paying school fees if there is no chance of getting a job at the end of the course.

thanks all for ur reply , actually i tell the school my situation d, and the school also say that there is not a gurantee jod placement , but they will do the best to let the casino hired me. "its about luck "
and in the same time i also need a reason (study) ,only i can travel to us to find a job there , because nows a day , it is even hard to go through the airport by traveling reason alone so i need some other support reason to help go through the gate without geting block or send bek.
about the visa , actually until today i also stil not clear about it , cause according to the laws of immigration there is not allow of changing visa too work permit without bek to ur country , but according to my friend and people on net they success to change it to work permit , ya including i go for the us embassy at my country , they also cannot 100% cmfirm is imposible to happen , they just tell that need to depands the company .
if ask immigration on net they sure say cant , but u ask by call they say depands , so i also not sure , just had a try.
ya, the fee is usd 799 for 2 hard game and 1 card game.
the thing i worry is only after i pay by pay pal whether the school will do their job and send me the enrollment ,
cause i also cant do any thing if they just scam me .

I can't help but believe that you're allowing your dreams to cloud your judgement ong.

I have no reason to believe that the school you have mentioned is not genuine, but they're in business to sell their courses and to teach you a specific skill. I would be cautious about presuming that enrolment at a 'croupier school' is sufficient to enable you to obtain an education visa, but in honesty I have no idea. It just doesn't sound right to me.

The irresponsible and immature son of an ex-workmate I knew once outstayed his holiday visa in the USA and he rang his mother in tears when he discovered that he was being penned in with murderers and gang members in a cage. The US is a tough place to live if you don't have money and a job. If you're there in contravention of your visa terms I doubt you could get anything but the most menial job on the lowest wage, if you're lucky.

I don't claim to know US immigration regulations and they are very complex, and I'd be concerned to take the advice of any stranger from the internet, but I can point you where to find out the facts if you get some details from your school.

Perhaps you're just aiming to get a visa the cheapest way possible so that you can just gain entry to the US and then go your own way, but I doubt that's sensible or wise.

I've just done some checking here

http://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/ApprovedSchools.pdf

Check yourself. The school you mention isn't on the approved list of educational establishments that would entitle you to a j1 or j2 education visa. There is a PCI College in California, but it's not the same as your school.

Again I ask - what visa do they expect you to obtain ? If it's a j1 or j2, you won't get it.

Pretty soon I will become an expert in US immigration (but I'm a formidable bureaucrat)
