1st email

I saw your profile from Au-pair website saying that you are interested in au-pair job. I am happy to notify you that I am offerring an aupair job if you don't mind working for me here in London, United Kingdom. Actually I am in need of an aupair who is willing to live-in and take good care of my kids.

Allow me to brief you about my family. I am a German, residing in the United Kingdom. My job didn't permit me and my wife to take a proper care of them. This really bothers me and we decided to give it a go and get somebody who can take good care of them as their mother will. They are just two kids with love and a lot of energy. They have everything to themselves and I don't think you'll ever lack anything as well. Kelvin is the older and his is just 5years and Sharon the last will be turning 3 in two months. They love the park and the cinema because I try as much as I could to take them to see a movie every weekend and with you around, I think you can do that for them too. The kids have a room each to themselves. My house is a very big house with Emily, the house help taking care of the house while we are away and does the cooking too I don't think you'll be bored at all.

There is no time limit to the period you'll be with them. You have only 10hours of work and the rest hours you'll be free to do whatever you want with it. United Kingdom is land of lots of opportunities; you'll be free to study on your own and achieve your real goal in life. Your salary is negotiable but at the moment, I am offering you £300 per week and addition £50 for other expenses. If you know how to drive, that's additional advantage because is a space car available to drive them to school and pick them back. There’s a room available for you to live and it is fixed with broadband connection for your internet, cable television en-suit shower and lots more.

I really don't know if you'll need a work permit to work here as an aupair or not. But I will direct you to my travelling agent; he is in good position to tell you all you need to come here and whatever assistant I can render, I will never hesitate in giving a hand.

If you think you are willing to take up this job, please let me know and I will contact the agent and also give you his contact.

Yours truly

Kurt Darren

to which i replied and then recieved this email

Thank you very much for you quick response. I have gone through your profile again with more details you have given in your last email and I think you are the right person for this job. I have also notified my wife and she is happy and willing to welcome you into our family. We live in central London and I am very sure you know London is city. Your availability is not a problem but my major concern is trust and straightforwardness. I saw your profile from the easy-aupair website. And I decided to give it a trial to know the person in you.

Our house is a five bedroom house located in the heart of London, My wife and I work for a communication company and she is a reporter and German too. My children love the park and the cinema because I try as much as I could to take them to see a movie.

I have contacted a travel and aupair Agency here and they wants to know more about you. I will be very happy if you can give them more details about you so that can know what you will need to come and work for me here.

They already told me to employ an aupair from outside United Kingdom, the aupair must have criminal record certificate and it is compulsory for the aupair to undergo a Training about child safety. I really don't want to do this all by myself that is the reason why I have decided to use the Agency this time. For security reasons, I will love to know more about you, your background and so on. Because it is really nice to check whom my children will be staying with while we are away, and this suggest to me that a proper check is needed. My last Aupair abused my children and I don't want a repetition of the past. So you have to contact the agency to confirm whatever documents you need to wome and work for me here. Below is the contact email of the Agency to ease communication between you and them:

[email protected]

Give more details to the agency so that they can quickly handle you request. As soon as you get any response from they, please update me as soon as possible. Provide them with details like you full name, country and telephone number.

Best Regard
Kurt Darren

It's a scam!

The types of mistakes in the English (and there are plenty) are not consistent with a German. Instead, they tell me it is an African scammer, not surprising as that is the normal source of these au pair scams.

No travel agency can get you a UK visa. UK has very specific regulations regarding au pairs, and they will actually only accept them from a few countries. There is also no compulsory training course for au pairs.
The "agency is the scammer himself or an accomplice."

One of our site killers will check out the au pair domain and see if it is something that can be killed.

Also notice how he contradicts himself:

This really bothers me and we decided to give it a go and get somebody

suggesting he is trying an au pair for the first time.

Then he writes:
My last Aupair abused my children and I don't want a repetition of the past.

Scammers typically open fake websites only for the minimum period, as they tend to be shut down quickly. However, this website sells cheap web hosting an email, and I think the scammer is using them for email as the name includes the word "agency"
