Ok, I know we have been through this but my scammer [email protected] or Chen Guogang won't go away. I have changed my home phone number 4 times already and he keeps getting it and it's not listed, private. tThe phone company said there's no way they can get it. My other scammer has it too so I think they know eachother. My one scammer (dangerous, wants to kill me) Left a message a few weeks back or so. Cops won't help me. They said there's nothing they can do because they are all in Nigeria. Chen called and I answered not thinking about anything and plus it was from Seatle Washington and he wants me to work for him. He says because of xmas. I have a family situation and he's following it and knows i'm alone and struggling to take care of my son. Everybody told me that my scammers will go away after not hearing from me for a little while. That they will give up and move on. Well not my scammers. They won't let me be at peace. What am I to do now? I need advice. I freeze everytime I hear their voices. I have no idea why. Does anybody have any ideas on how to terminate all communication between me and my scammers for life. I blocked them, reported to spam, deleted all my emails and messengers and put them on the ignore list, changed my phone number 4 times so far and it costs money everytime that I don't have. What am I missing here.? How are they getting my information and why won't they leave me alone.? No one has my phone number not even my own doctor. I have no friends or family so it's not them. I need a solution and need your help.

It sounds like a criminal group from what I can determine.

http://scamoftheday.com/wordpress/2010/ ... achment-2/

I felt sad reading your story Mystic.
Regarding the phone, are you able to ask your telephone company to only allow calls through from family/friends etc and bar all other numbers from ringing you? Would that work?
Could you perhaps get the phone disconnected, for a short time maybe & reconnect later?
Sounds like some type of professional help is needed. Keep any emails you have as proof of the scam these criminals have done.
They realise you are not interested and will leave you alone as time goes by.
However as suggested some scammers are persistent and you need to be strong and weather the storm as they say.
Thankyou for posting the report because it will save others from these fraudulent people.

One suggestion - get an answerphone.

Calls from Nigeria aren't cheap, and one tactic I use when I'm baiting scammers is to get them to call me as much as I can and they go straight to answerphone and get to listen to my long recorded message, and they have the opportunity to leave me a message too. Friends and important calls you can pick up - scammers you can allow them to waste their money and time. Then you can use the delete button on them.

It may be easy for me to say, but you mustn't let them get to you - that's what they want. If you don't want to get an answerphone, if and when they call, just put the phone down without cutting them off, and walk away. Scammers will soon stop, as you're expending their cellphone credit without them getting any return.

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

I'm sorry you're having a hard time, Mystic.

I have changed my home phone number 4 times already and he keeps getting it and it's not listed,

There is absolutely no way for the scammer to get your new phone number unless you're continuing to correspond with them and give it to them, or have made it public in some way.

Change your email address and don't make it public. If a scammer calls you, don't speak, just hang up. They can not continue to harrass you if they do not have a way to reach you and you do not respond to them in any way.

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

Hi Mystic
I tried to PM you but mine is malfunctioning for some reason?
The rx side is working because reading incoming messages is fine but the send feature will not operate.

As Gomer indicated, a telephone answer machine may be a good idea. People you know and trust can be answered straight away and just give any unwanted callers the flick.
If you have concerns of scammers hacking your computer, try and disconnect it when you are off-line.
Simply disconnect or unplug your internet line from the modem or laptop. That in no way detracts from it's use because you can still operate for off-line activities like games, word processing etc & etc.
If it's not connected on-line, not even Superman could hack into it.
Then simply re-insert the Internet cable into the connection when on-line activities are required. If that makes sense?
Also is your Internet connection wireless? If so, you need to be aware anyone can easily access your wireless connection if they are within close proximity of your property. If you are on a wireless connection for your Internet, get your modem password protected to stop this occurring. Some one at a computer shop will be able to advise you better than I.
If you feel intimidated by this scammer, like a sailor at sea you need to step up, get prepared and battle your way through the storm. Scammers are only interested in extracting money from you and intimidation just shows they are desperate.
They will stop annoying you as time goes by. Sadly they will just move onto another victim later.
Try find some professional help too. For example are you able to visit your local Member of Parliament or perhaps see your local Council for advice? Councils have more power than what people realise!
Is there a Department of Consumer Protection or maybe an Office of Legal Aid nearby? Because I'm not in your locality, the surrounds are unfamiliar. The DCP & Legal Aid are low cost or sometimes free. They would know of someone who could offer more help and/or ideas.

Thank you guys for all the help. I have ideas now to work with. Hopefully I can free myself from these scammers for good and I really appreciate your help, I really do. I have problems with my messages and posts over at eater so I know how that goes with sending out messages but for some reason, I have no problems here, not yet. Thanks again
