Possibly even the "Originating-IP" (from the Ivory Coast) has been faked:

From Steve Konan
Medical student
Of The University
Abidjan Ivory Coast
West Africa

Dear,

I know that my message will come to you as a surprise since I don’t know you in person or met with you before, but I am of the believe that you would be obliged to come to my assistance after hearing about my situation.
I was, until recently, a Medical student of the University of Abidjan, Ivory Coast West Africa.

I am the only Son of late Mr Frederick Drogba Konan. My father was a very wealthy cocoa merchant based in Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast. He was poisoned to death by his business associates on one of their outing to discuss on a business last year.

When my mother died on the October 1987, my father took me so special because I am motherless. Before the death of my father last year, in a private hospital here in Abidjan. He secretly called me on his bed side and told me that he has a sum of US$ 16,500,000 left in account in a bank here in Abidjan, that he used my name for the next of kin in deposit of the fund. He also explained to me that it is because of this wealth that he was poisoned by his business associates.

1)I am honourably seeking your assistance to provide a bank account to the bank not to me where this money will be transferred to.

2)You will serve as the guardian of this funds since I am a Boy of 20 years.

3)You will make arrangement for me to come over to your country after the money has been transferred to you.

I have plans to do investment in your country, like real estate and industrial production. This is my reason for writing to you. Please if you are willing to assist me please indicate your interest.

I am willing to offer you 15% of the total sum as compensation for your effort/input after this successful transfer of this fund to your nominated account overseas.

Finally if you have any question as regards this transaction contact me so that I will send you documents of this fund. Note that the confidentiality of this transaction would be highly appreciated in replying soonest.

Thanks and best regards.

Steve Konan

Using the same ISP as "Steve Konan Medical student", we find "a university undergraduate" supposedly called Miss Alice Keita.

Dearest one,

I am the only Daughter of my late parents Mr.and Mrs.James D, keita. My father was a highly reputable business magnet who operated in the capital city of Ivory coast during his days.
It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad on the 12th September 2004. Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time. But God knows the truth! My mother died when I was just 6yrs old, and since then my father took me so special.
Before his death on September 2004, he called me and informed me that he has the sum of Five Million, Seven Hundred thousand United State Dollars.(USD$5,700,000.00)left in fixed deposit account in one of the leading banks in Africa. He further told me that he deposited the money in my name, and also gave me all the necessary but legal documents to this fund with the bank.

I am just 21 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do. Now I want an account overseas where I can transfer this funds and after the transaction I will come and reside permanently in your country till such a time that it will be convinient for me to return back home if I so desire. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. I also want to invest the fund under your care because I am ignorant of business world.
I will also want you To make arrangement for me to come over to your country in order to further my university education and to secure a residential permit for me in your country
Moreover sir, l am willing to offer you 15% of the total sum as compensation for your assistance in the transfer of this deposit to your country. Furthermore, you can indicate your option towards assisting me as l believed that this
project would be concluded within seven days you signify interest to assist me by contacting the bank.
I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards. Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions:

1. Can you honestly help me from your heart?
2. Can I completely trust you?
3. What percentage of the total amount in question
will be good for you after the money is in your
account?

Please, consider this and get back to me as soon as possible. Immedaitely I confirm your willingness, I will send to you my Picture and also inform you more details involved in this matter.
Kind Regards,

Miss Alice Keita.

Notice that Steve Konan tried the "offer you 15%" carrot, whereas "Miss Alice Keita" tried BOTH the "offer you 15%" and "What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you?" ploys. "MRS PAULINE DOUGLAS" sticks to the second one. Her story is rather confusing as to whether they are supposedly currently refugees in the Ivory Coast or in Burkina Faso. The "Originating-IP" corresponds to Burkina Faso.
