I get it from reading the other posts. [email protected] met me on match.com Insists he loves me, wants me to apply for his leave, he has 120 days, so he can come home to seal our relationship. He says he moved from the UK to the US after his dad retired from the UK military and started working for the state of Indiana. I have several pics of a US Army Sargent, his two girls, him on a motorcycle. A widower of 5 years, girls are 9 and 15 and do look like the US Sargent. His name on match.com was armylove45. It said he was looking for a woman 45-55 and said he was in South Carolina. I blocked his yahoo email after I saw this site when I was trying to verify how to request leave if you were in the US Military. Bob said he is going to retire from the military after 23 years, as soon as his deployment to Kabul is over. He got to the point he was going to draft me a letter to apply for his leave before I blocked him yesterday. Anything else I need to do??

I'm so glad to see that you thought something was fishy and ended up here instead of sending money oversees. The pics you were sent are likely stock photos that are circled around the scammer community, and whatever letter he was going to "draft" would have been done in Photoshop.

Blocking the emails is certainly the way to go. Simply stop communicating with the scammer and he'll eventually go away. If you really want to hurt him, I'd suggest taking the first couple of emails he sent you and posting them up here (taking out all of your personal details of course). That way it's easier for Google to lead somebody here if they get suspicious like you did. Great job!

First of all, I really like when women are polite and kind. In turn, I always try to be respectful to them and not take them for granted. It takes so little effort to show respect and gratitude and yet I find it will reward me many times over if I do. My favorite color is Blue, i like old blues and i like hanging around beach side, i like Rose flowers and im a bit romantic, if that don't scare you, i want the best of a relationship, i want someone that will love and care for me and make me her better half. I'm very sorry if am too forward or blunt.well i grew up in a small town in South Woodham Ferrers Essex, am the only son. I lived on a small land area, but my late dad worked for the State of Indiana USA, for income after retired from the Military. My late mom was a full time mom. We didn't have a lot of money, but we had a garden and cows so we were never hungry. Almost all of my ancestors were England except my great-grandmother on my mom's side was Irish. I Growing up, there were always lots of visitors to our house, I was fund of bringing my college friends home on the weekends for home cooked food. There are lots of good memories, but also some hard and sad ones.I got married and enjoyed my matrimonial home. Well, I and my wife lived happily and I worked as an Engineer before I later joined the Army 23yrs ago. I fix and inspects Cars and trucks, but I have special interest for the Military because my dad was once in the Military before He retired and started His Civil Engineer Career.

My late wife was died 5yrs ago due to lungs cancer and I became a widow. Since then, it has been one bad experience after another; I also lost my dad last year. I really loved my wife and dad because of the relationship between us.. …She had loved me with all her heart and she had loved me for me. She was so caring and possessed all of the qualities a woman should possess. She was so much an angel that I treasured her so much but God knows why that happened to me. I also give thanks to God that she gave me two beautiful daughters Carol and Rachael who is the youngest while Carol is the eldest…I just need someone that can love me for me and we will love each other for the rest of our lives, because i know life is too short to play with…

well my first daughter Carol is 15, she is about to go into the American Military University or Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), next year well it depends to, well she wants to be a Military Nurse......., while my little angle Rachael is 9, ...... they are both with my grandmother in the United Kingdom, well what can i say about them, they are lovely kids and fun to be with, i enjoy every bit of time i spend with them, and i miss them so much now that i am far away from home i cant wait to come back home for good....I hope we could talk better about this on IM....It seems am not feeling fine to write this again....But I want someone serious , caring and honest..This has been a very long message and I apologize if it's boring. i will tell you more and more about me in my next email... i would love to know more about you what are your like and dislike, what you seek at the moment and honestly speaking you have a very lovely smile.

I have learnt to leave my past behind and move forward to the future, though my past makes part of my life and I need to plan for my future. I need love again in my life. I had love once in my life and I need a woman that can be mine on a long term goal. I hope I will still find love someday soon, that's all I believe and I'm so optimistic about it.I am ready to date from any part of the globe. I need to meet my true love, because we don't know where our love is at the moment and we have to keep searching for it anywhere, any time and any way we can.

Welcome, Dale. I'm glad you took the time to do some searching and figure out the scam. Please do post any other information you think will help others. If he sent you any love poems those are likely copied from places online. Any other early emails that appear scripted are also something he will have used over and over again so are good to have here, as well as emails that include other names and addresses he wanted you to contact for the leave part of the scam.
