Hi neno, yes it's a scam, it's a variation on the usual Lotto scams, if you haven't entered it, you haven't won anything,

Along the way, there will be fees to be paid for holding agents, shipping couriers, taxes etc, you will never see the cheque, but you will be a lot poorer as a result.

Delete and ignore, there isn't a single giveaway competition that I have seen on the internet that contacts you out of the blue, and is legitimate.

Hi Neno, welcome to Scamwarners,

John is completely right it is most definately a scam.

I tried searching on the complete email address and found nothing so I shortened the email address and tried again and found this Click Here it is most likely the same person who also does job scams

The real clincher here is a search on the phone number, Click Here and you will see how many other people have the same number, it is a UK redirect number meaning you could be anywhere in the world (including Africa) and recieve calls on that number, to the untrained eye it appears to be a UK number but we know better.

Good luck with your job search and dont take a job that involves cashing cheques or money orders for a commission

Just taking a quick look through those search results I just found the below email posted at 419eater, you will notice many similarities

Another clue is that the email was sent to "Undisclosed Recipients." That means that the sender placed a number of recipients' addresses in the BCC (blind copy) field. Yet the email makes it sound as if you are among the privileged few. It doesn't add up.

by Ralph Fri Sep 12, 2008 11:38 pm
^^ Very true, well picked up, I will add that the scammer will usually include one of his own email addresses in the CC field, that is when they accidentally use CC instead of BCC

In addition to everything else, the reply to address is a free e-mail account. A real company would have their own domain and not have an e-mail address like [email protected].
