I received this in my email today: I think it's fake but could not find any info on the web, so it may be new and I am amongst the first to get it? I don't know... but here is all the info I have.

Just google search for 'end of year promo winner' and you'll find lots of hits to scam warners websites! So yes, this is definatly a scam. Just ignore these e mails, and the scammer will leave you alone.

I also received the exact same email from the same address. Of course it is a scam. I have been duped only once, but it cost me $5. I held the postal money orders in my account for 2 weeks until they were confirmed as being fake. But boy did my bank account look great for 2 weeks! Of course they sent me numerous emails threatening all sorts of death and dis-memberment if I didn't send the remainder back to them from my account, but I never did......they finally stopped sending them. But I continually get more from everywhere. It really sux when you have an online business! So I am letting everyone know that these emails that ask for your information are all fake. If you have really won something, they have all your pertinant information.

sbcglobal.net is just another mail provider like google, yahoo and hotmail. An email sent from such an adress has as much authority as an email sent from [email protected].
