Though you haven't given much information, I can confirm that the message came from a scammer.

You may ask how. The telephone number quoted is a redirect number and is only used by people who want to appear to be based in the UK but it redirects elsewhere and is a favourite of scammers (and scambaiters).

Watch out for 44 70 numbers. They're a good sign that you're dealing with a scammer.
