I'd like to share my own encounter with Mr. Fredrick. I received an email inviting me to an IM interview for a position with The Cool Hunter, a legitimate business. I did wonder why they insisted upon an IM chat instead of a web cam or phone interview. I was also suspicious as to why a prestigious company was contacting little old me, a humble admin assistant, out of the blue for an interview. So I contacted Mr. Fredrick through Yahoo Messenger and here is the script with my handle, contact info, and some of the replies edited out. He asked a few questions that threw up some red flags for sure! I felt so foolish to have agreed at first and believed this jerk but at least I acted on my doubts afterwards and found this post! Read it and heed it!

harryinterviewdesk: Preparation of Balance sheets (Mini), account balancing, invoicing recording,proper data analysis of sales records and recording pay slips into accounting database all these will be done through the use of the Accounting Software.The Supervisor, who would be attached to you online, He/She would assign logs of duty daily and you would be required to work according to instructions, using the Microsoft Office tools and the Accounting software. Now the function of the Accounting software is to arrange, formalize and manage the data you have processed, sent to your supervisor via E-mail.

So after all this I did some investigating, not about The Cool Hunter but this Harry Fredrick guy. I had wondered why he insisted on sending me a check for software when at first they were offering to provide me with equipment. So contradictive! And why would he need to ask for my mailing address if they had my resume???
