Is this a scam?

I've received an email thats was a little suspicious to me, what do you think?
Here it is:

IKON MODELING COMPANY is given you an opportunity to participate in
the upcoming shoot organized by city Model Magazine for the
professional photo shoot. No nudity, fetish, bondage and other adult
content stuff.

DATE AND TIME:
This exposition is going to be held on 26th March 2011 in NYC,New
York.The shoot shall commence by 10 am and comes to an end by 2pm
which would take you complete 4 hours.

PROJECT DETAILS:
This project will be the first to organize by Ikon Modeling Company.
And is basically on photo shoot to display latest fashions and
designers for commercial purpose and be inform that it is an outdoor
show and it would be publicized.

SHOOTING VENUE:
Zandieh Studio

TRAVELING EXPENSES:
All traveling Expenses, Food and Accommodations/Hotel would be covered
by the company.

ESCORT:
As matter of choice,you can bring along any of your choice to the
shooting venues as your protector.

COMPENSATION:
The company would be paying you a sum of $100 as hourly shooting rate
and your total payment for the 4 hours are sum to $400.00.


TOTAL PAYMENT
The total payment for the this project is $9500 and you will be
receiving this after the completion of the project.

MAKE UP ARTIST AND PHOTOGRAPHER:
The company has personal photographers and makeup artist,so we have
made all necessary arrangement for your good looking on that day and
also our photographers are available to give you best directive.

100% scam, I'm afraid. The language tells me this is a typical African scam, though there are plenty of other indicators (like the fact that this supposedly came from an American company, yet the author doesn't know the proper format for writing an American address).

A legitimate modeling agency has a specific contract form for their models. This is not the way a modeling agency operates. It is a scam. Just drop them and do not continue communication with them.

The scammer will come up with fees that you have to pay to progress ahead. They hope the short time frame creates a sense of urgency so the victim will not think and just start sending money.
