Welcome to Scamwarners Althy18, and you are correct to suspect that it's a scam - it is.

The only place you can obtain a visa is by applying to the Ghanaian Embassy in your own country and they'll want to see your original passport, not a scan.

Governments and companies don't use Western Union, but scammers do, and notice how they aren't very interested in your qualifications or skills but are very clear about how to send them money. Have they mentioned what your duties will be ? - theatre nurse, infectious diseases. This is not the way hospitals recruit staff, and the ridiculous salary is more like what a nurse could earn in the Middle East, but you wouldn't get a job like that this way.

Internet job offers where you have to pay money to get the job are usually scams. They make the salary high as they never intend to pay it.

I'm sorry, but there is no job and any money you send will go straight in to a scammer's pocket.

A scammer can't do a lot with your CV and I wouldn't worry about that

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

Hi Althy. Have you read the pinned posts about identifying a scam? I think you'll see a lot of similarities with what to look for and what you have here.

You don't say where you are located. If this is a for a country foreign to you, that's a clue. (It does say the salary is for an expatriate nurse.)

Do you want to go to Ghana?

Are you are nurse? That's another clue.

The "from" name is incomplete (InternationA), which to me, is another clue. If you can post the headers, others can help you identify more information about the sender, and identify more clues.

The email address to reply to is generic (yahoo) and not the sending company - a HUGE clue.

If the salary is "so high" that's another clue.

That they want money wired to them through WU or MG is another HUGE clue.

Personally, I keep looking locally. Don't send them anything else. They can't do much with your address except spam you. It's when they get your identification numbers & perhaps picture that your identity can be stolen.

You might want to look at LifeLock.com to learn more about identity theft in the US.

So many clues...very little to indicate they are valid.

Go figure.

http://www.ehow.com/facts_6307539_information-nursing-ghana_-africa.html

Nursing is not a lucrative career in Ghana. According to a Ghanaian nurse now based in the United Kingdom, her salary was not enough to buy a bicycle or house.

Many nurses opt to leave the country and seek employment in the United Kingdom or the United States where they can earn a better salary and provide for themselves and family members they left behind.

It is also illegal to work as a nurse in Ghana without a license, and to gain that you must pass examinations in Ghana.

http://www.ehow.com/how_6953258_do-nursing-field-ghana_-africa_.html

Without a license you cannot gain employment as a nurse in Ghana. Under the Nurses and Midwives Decree of 1972 (NRCD 117, Section 25c), "Any person who isn't a Registered Nurse, but practices or professes to practice or publishes his/her name as a practicing nurse or midwife shall be guilty of an offense and can face fining or imprisonment."

The scammer is only interested in stealing your money, and can't even go to the effort of making his scam believable. He just wants easy money. I could quote further detail but it could help the scammer improve his scam if he views this forum.
