I'm sorry dreamscometrue but the first mail is certainly from a poorly educated scammer.

If you are not located in the EU you have no chance of obtaining a job as an aupair in the UK except under this scheme if you live in one of the countries mentioned.

The youth mobility scheme is for young people from participating countries who would like to come and experience life in the UK.

The countries in the scheme are:

* Australia
* Canada
* Japan
* New Zealand
* Monaco

The scammer isn't interested in making your dream come true. He just wants to steal your money. I can't do anything to change the situation, but the scammer can't either, but he believes that by making it appear that he can make your dream come true, it gives him a chance to steal money from you.

Paying money to a stranger on the internet is not sensible and there is no doubt that this is just a scammer.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

can you check other two letters ?

This forum is nothing to do with immigration dreamscometrue but if you don't understand UK immigration rules, scammers will continue to try to take advantage of you and steal your money.

If you understand that you cannot obtain a visa (if that's the case) then you will know that anyone saying that you can, must be a scammer. I'm not trying to be cruel as I don't want you to lose money to these people and it would be even worse to lose money and not get what you want.

If people offer you something you know is impossible, they must be lying.

I got this same mail from Mr Straw and spend a lot of time mailing with him.
It all seems OK, for he doesn´t want money. Untill the moment you find out this is a live-out and you ask him to help you find a flat. And he gives you a contact on someone dealing with share flats. and now you are to pay a deposit 800 GBP. I said I don´t have this money and Mr Straw offered me that I should send what I have and he would pay the rest....I wasnt far from sending it! Only thanks to this webpage I didn´t. Thanks a lot.

It's nothing much to worry about, not with this type of scam. He won't be able to pass himself off as British on the phone, so won't try and phone you.
