Welcome to ScamWarners.

This is a definite scam. If you do an internet search for a few of the phrases, you'll see very similar emails posted in lots of places, identified as scams.
Calvary Greetings is a phrase I've only seen in Scam Formats. The wealthy widow dying of cancer is a very common advance fee fraud email, many variations of which are posted here at ScamWarners in the advance fee fraud forum.

By posting the information here, you have now made these exact details searchable should someone else be suspicious and choose to look. Good for you. :D

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

it's a real bank, but without a branch at that address as far as I can tell. The phone number is a UK one, but one that allows calls to be redirected anywhere in the world. Don't quite understand the fax number. 44 870 is a valid dialing code, and perhaps they're relying a a victim not using it.
The scammer could be anywhere in the world.

I found this slightly different version with a search on the email address without the "@gmail.com"

The FAX number is redirectable as well:
Information on phone number range +44 870974XXXX
Number billable as national rate number
Original network provider* Magrathea Telecommunications Limited

UK numbers with the prefix 870 are all charged at the long-distance rate, and are redirected the the businesses real phone number. In this case it is probably redirected to a FAX to email service, so the scammer may be anywhere in the world. See Magrathea non-georaphic services page

Real businesses do use +44870 numbers, but +44703 numbers are much rarer. The only time most people will come across them is in connection to a scam.

Update on e-mail address and e-mail response:
[email protected]
Dear Beloved Rev T,

I am happy to hear from you, I hope all is well with you and other members of your household to the glory of Almighty God. I received and read your letter this afternoon with gratitude to GOD.

I got your contact via internet where I was searching for a reliable person who can help me out of this my critical condition, I saw and select your name among equal, I have pray and fasted over this before sending you this proposal, so I believe its GOD that direct me to choose you out of this.

I have been finding it so difficult to write you due to my health condition but I thank God that everything is well. Infact I must confess that this your letter is a very big relief to me,because my contact to you is of divine direction, and I have no regret over this donation,as I am sure that this fund will be appropriately used for the expansion of his kingdom through you.

Secondly I will be happy to be alive to see this divine project come to pass through you.To know more about me, In the year 1997, I attended a Crusaded here on invitation of a neighbour Sister Sarah after she must have prayed with me on my barreness. I could not attend the first and Second day and she come to our house to ask why did not. I had to promise to be there the next day of the programme.

The message that was Arise, shine for all the brethren that were in attendance. I was touched by that message (Isaiah 60) After the mes sage, the preacher asked those that there not known Christ to come out and publicly declare Him. When I looked around only few people were going out to the preacher. My inner person told me, can you see that almost 98% of the Crowd of more than 2000 people know Christ.

Observing them, they were looking happy and undisturbed while my mind troubled me. I had to moveout to the preacher. The preacher prayed with us and refered us an usher who directed us to a pastor who took our names and addresses. Meanwile I had so many testimonies of the LORD's doing.

After which, I started studing the Bible until I reach a portion that says come all you that
heavily lader I will give you rest. As I continued, I read about the ressuration of Lazarus. I thought staying indoors reading the Bible would help me, not until Sister Sarah come to invite me to thanks giving service for her cousin. That I honoured the following sunday.

It was there I was arrested after the sermon entitled the Bone shall rise again, and the song and praises and dances that preceeded the sermon. From that day I become an active member of Christain action Faith Mission (CAFM).

However, my husband did not tolorate this at all with alot of allegations over my ovement that always look me to Church either for prayers or Bible study.

Though, I was always reacting.Spontanously, to the behaviour of my husband until I heard a sermon Forget, forgive and move forward. the ingredients in the sermon change my counteance toward my husband. I learnt to treat him with more love dispite his attitude.

After about a year and two months, he become hypertasive and was always worry about nothing. He was placed on constant medication always. One night he was groaning in pains, I prayed for him after I must have educated him about Christ, the next day he become stronger, I told him this is the work of our good LORD and he tried to argue.

The next day, he returned to the painful mood and continued with his drugs. But instead of recuperating, it detoriated. It was then he personally invited me to pray for him again, I was made him to orally declare Christ which he did. After my prayers there was a change the next day, it was then he believed in the power of the Almighty and subsequently started attending Church with me to the glory of God.

Until his death caused by Hypertisis, we was a believer. Infact, my testimony is quite elaborate that it may contain more than ten pages front and back. To this effect all communication should be via e-mail. To elaborat on the desire of my late husband and mine, this fund must be channelled to humanitarian and Charity services with much emphasis on propagation of the gospel. You and your household, including your church members should interceed for me through prayers for a heal ing miracle.

I will want you to send me your full name and address, so that I can issue you an authorised letter that will prove you the present beneficiary of this fund from Cape Verde federal High Court of Justice. I will be sending you the certificate of deposit of this fund immediately after the authorised letter is ready with the contact of the Bank in Europe where my late husband deposited the Fund..

Thanks and God bless us all in his infinite mercy.

Waiting to hear from soon.

Remain blessed.
Yours Sister in Christ,
Sister Mrs Cynthia Adam.

Welcome to Scamwarners, and thanks for the ifo about the new email address "she's" using.
Am I right in thinking from the "Dear Beloved Rev T" that you're baiting the scammer? Not that we disapprove. As you will see from our sister site www.419eater.com.
