I recieve an email that I was added in a family's favourites so I sent back a letter of interest and this is the reply, I can't locate the family in the said website anymore but they emailed me the items below. Would this be another fraud family enticing au pairs?

Hello,
My wife has agreed to hire you and family will provide your plane ticket once your visa is ready, I really can't deal with agencies as your aupairs do, I've informed the Immigrations about you and we were mandated that we should provide your Age, Nationality, Country of Residence, Gender and Address and Number to be submitted to the U.K Immigration here with your visa fee of $160, then some certified documents will be approved and posted to you, these are the documents that you will present at the UK Embassy in your country to acquire your U.K Visa during your interviews as simple as that. Please send these requirements soon with your $160 visa fee as listed on the Immigration Website:

Hi zenmel!
Yes, definitely a scam. They've sent you a fake website and the phone # is a redirect #. It makes it seem like they're in the UK but I'm sure that they are actually in nigeria.
Are you able to get the headers from the email that you were sent and post them here?

Yes Zenmel it is a scam. As Helen indicated it is a fraudulent phone number.
Please see an earlier post (dated 25 Nov 10) viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13567 It better describes these re-direct numbers.

Hello Zenmel,

I'm glad that you were suspicious about this. You can also read a warning about the scammer who calls himself Chris Jordan here:

I have run the site by my site-killing colleagues and they agree with me that vfs-uk-sg.com is actually a legitimate site which is not involved in this scam. Please note how they only refer to a page and not ask to contact anyone on the site itself. The contact phone numbers do not match either. In this particular case, the website is being abused by a scammer to add legitimacy to it's scam. The people behind vfs-uk-sg.com are not the same people who are behind the scam.

If you ever have doubts whether a site is real or involved in a scam, please do not hesitate to ask here. We'll be happy to check it out for you. :)

Also I'd like to just point out that as a British Citizen myself by birth, we do not have an economy run on $ but on £. Anything saying they are from the Uk and requesting any money in $ should straight away be binned.
